Well I pulled the SC to replace the actuator and found this little treasure...
Seems to be oil from the head, could this be a bad HG? I do burn, loose a little bit of oil between changes, maybe 2 quarts every 3,000 miles, with a lot of racing.
Any ideas?

2 quarts every 3,000 miles? Isn't this a fairly new engine?
thats alot of oil you're losing!.. Looking at the picture I'd say that would have to be where its coming from.
What HG are you using?

Yea, not too good, very new engine, about 8,000 miles on it. Definantly not happy with the machining, and I used a felpro gasket. I thought the oil was just due to pounding on it a lot bracket racing every week.
I have a feeling this winter is going to be expensive....

oil there is usually from a leak some where else
Well going off the picture it is hard to tell. I checked your registery but your motor mods do no show. Are you running head studs? If so did you re-torque them like it is recommended? Also I have had the cam towers leak and the oil go there. Have you checked the cam towers lately?
FU Tuning
It is a 2.4 with eagle H beams, bored, JE pistons, regular junk. 9.0.1 compression and the gm SC only putting out 5-6 PSI.
No head studs, regular bolts. Are you really expected to pull the cams off and re tork the head, the 2.4 is so goofy, lol. Just using a felpro gasket, torqued to GM specs. Not sure where it is leaking from, all I know is this may be an expensive winter.
