your going to spend almost 5 grand for a turbo kit for a 2.2 motor? I hope your kidding.

why not save yourself alot of money and piece one together theres a sticky on the boost forum page at the top, of everything you will need to do it. bro really dont @!#$ yourself by buying that bull@!#$ piece one together thats what im doing!!!!!
hondas are like tampons.....every pu$$y needs one...
mildly built 99' ln2, eagle h-beam rods, wiseco forged alum. pistons, cusco oil catch, t3/t4 super 60 garret, tial 40 mm wastegate, hp tuners, prothane mount inserts, 2.5" exhaust.
ok wel lthanks for saving me guys haha...because i probably would have bought that. I am new to boost. i have spent the last couple years dabbling in exterior stuff. I know it is somewhat easy to turbo a 2.4 or 2.2 ecotec compared to an OHV. But thats why i want to do it, because most dont bother. If i do go ahead and follow t he sticky up top, my only 2 questions are, what will i have to do to the engine itself? fuel injectors? and what is this top feed conversion i hear of? and is the above sticky made for the 2.4 and ecotec, does it apply to the OHV?. once i get those answers i promise i wll not pester anymore lol
I would need bigger injectors and feul pump even if i am only running 5-7 pounds?
Id definantly make sure your stock pump is in good condition, And monitor your pressure with an FPR. But no, You can run 6-7psi on stock fuel
I built a completely homemade turbo for my cavalier , the only cavalier specific part was the manifold. its also a 2.2 ohv If you need any help of have questions with anything feel free to hit me up. \
my turbo cost me total 1600 bucks
thats including the AEM wide band and AFC neo. I know most of the guys on here will trash you if you wanna use a afc , and yes the Hp tuners is the way to go , but you can absolutely tune your 2.2 with an afc. and wiring takes about 4 minutes.
if you upgrade your fuel injectors you must use a FPR if not you will be slugging larger injectors with the same fuel pressure and you will have gas basically pouring out the exhaust. I will have pictures posted soon .
Chris, What manifold are you running? Im thinking about using an ebay log style mani, with a t3/t4
Id seriously consider peicing together a kit, as you could have a much nicer one for the money.
im running the log style but i have my turbo spun the different direction my down down pipe flang exits towards where the battery is and i built the down pipe to wrap back underneth the the turbo . it makes it easier for running charge pipe but makes it harder to build a down pipe. i also didn't care for stock and i moved my rad forward 2 inches and used hood pins

I'll get an FPR and keep the stock feul system.
That kit doesn't exist. Call them up and they'll tell you they don't actually have anything like that. There is a thread on this every month.
The JBP kit is WAY overpriced. I don't know of anyone who has actually purchased this yet.
If you HAVE to buy a kit (read: "if you're REALLY that incredibly lazy"), check out Hahn.
Also, you'll need more than an afpr for tuning on boost, do some more reading.

If piecing it together (since everyone says it is t he best way) does the sticky above apply to the 2.2 OHV? is there anything else i need to know ? notec, what else will i need besides the afpr? I know working on this engine isnt easy, but i really would like to do it. I just need the information because i simply just dont know. Not trying to be a pain.
We can't help you without knowing what you're looking to get out of the car.

basically all you are gonna need to do is search about each different part and find out how they work, but like we have been telling you the best way to get a turbo kit is by piecing that @!#$ together go to the junk yard and find you a good un-molested t-3/t-4 turbo and go to ebay and find the log style manifold and once you get those two things you will find that finding turbo parts aint that hard!! just go search through the boost forum on this topic.
