Hey I was wanting some opinions on running a M62 on a stock head.
head would be:
* minor Port and Polish
* pressure checked
* ARP head studs
* Cometic MLS gasket
* new valves
but would use stock valvetrain
would this hold up with a blower and supporting mods? My other options of course are to use the stock head and buy a Ferrea valvetrain, or Just buy a Patriot Stage 2 head...
thoughts? opinions? thanks

it works just fine with the stock head.
all the stuff you mentioned isnt necessary

been running a m62 on stock eco with 70k on it , no need for extra work or money
unless you wanna spend the extra money
thanks guys I def dont wanna spend any money that isnt necessary. Just wanted to be safe. The head studs and gasket along with new valves and pressure check is just precaution....I am going to push the S/C to the limit with HPTuners.
my only fear was the stock valvetrain failing with high boost. any more opinions?

the s/c wont even touch the limits of the stock stuff , or barely touch , unless your gonna spin the motor 7500 or higher
now a turbo at 20+ psi , will tax the life the vavle springs , cause some valve float at high rpm and high boost levels
worie about your bottom end first dude...ringlands and con rods are the first to go..phil
oh dont worry Phil, the bottom end is forged and balanced. Its already done, just needed some info on the top end.
