Well I took the car to have it dyno tuned today
. I would like to first thank the guys at www.revxtreme.com in Tampa for hooking me up. I wasn't sure what to expect, seeing as how I am a slowamatic and there is power transfer loss from it. However, I was just happy getting it tuned.
First run was the base run, 170hp with a a/f ratio of 16.1! Wow yea wonderful huh! So they continued to adjust and so on and so on and finally, with my setup, 6lbs of boost, slowamatic, I came in at 190whp and 170lbs of torque. Yes to some of you it might seem low, however I am very happy with that.
I only had them rev it up to 6000, but the guy said the car was still pulling power all the way up and that if i wanted to I could go higher, but I will do it next time I'm there
.
My Intake temps were 130-135 degrees. Air temperature was 94 degrees and humid as all hell outside too.
So I'm planning on going back after I get the intake temps down some more, and also I'm gonna have them rev it a little higher than 6k too.

i have pretty much the same mods minus the charger and im revving to 7000 hpt is ur friend, it deff pulls beyond 6500 get back on that thing and go higher and get some dyno time
190whp on 6psi with an m45 is amazing man, imagine what she will do @ 10

Nice numbers Bobby. My only question is why aren't you at least pulling to the stock rev limiter?? This will hurt in in a 1/2 race. When you are on the street and get on it does the factory shift points kick in? If so then you should of had them tune to at least those spots.

that is quite an impressive hp number....car looks good too, and the shop is definitely a keeper...all that GM in there they have to be a good group of guys right?!?

In 94 deg weather 135 deg intake temp is nice....looks like I need to polish my charger now! I'm seeing an unrivaled 200-210 deg intake temps....lol something is wrong but I do have the 2.5 pulley and meth on it.

Bobby what is your air/fuel now?? I guess that goes to show mail away ECU tunes aren't really that good.

My a/f now is high 11s. When I sent out the ecu a while ago all I had done was the injector constants changed so the car would idle and drive decently, yea it is hard to do a good tune through mail order though.
The guy also played with the timing and has it at 24* now with the alky injection.

Seems low for sure.. all those mods and only 190? That one guy got 215 wheel on only the 2.8" stock pulley with a 56mm throttle body & a CAI, that's it!

i'm starting to not believe some of the numbers some ppl are posting. i myself dynoed about 170 whp, which seems on par with bobby's 190 due to the more mods he has. interesting.........

Depends on what you are asking for and who is doing it. My email tune has an A/F of 10.5 - 11 during WOT pulls to 7k. I am just waiting on my cable from Innovate so I can datalog it, and adjust some of the timing tables
I am hoping to be around the 215hp mark @ 10psi when I go to the dyno next month

i think you should have made more power, i dyno'd in @ 214whp and 197wtq on the 2.7 pulley and my mods listed in the profile.

You should see the results from my "mail away" ECU tune. I am having great results with mine. Ron Beyer (Shifted) was who tuned mine. He was real close the first time just a litle rich in the midrange at the time I put down 214WHP. I sent it back to him with the printout of my air fuel ratio and hp/tq graph. He redid it for free and I dynoed the car again. When I dynoed again the AFR was spot on. So it has alot to do with who did the tune and there experience. If the freakin dyno shop I went to would have put my car in between the twin rollers straight and had it strapped down even I would have some new dyno #s. The car wound up pulling sharply to one side over and over, eventually taking a chunk out of my tire. At that time it was deemed unsafe to be on the dyno.

Having a slushbox automatic can really kill it. I think he might make it over the 200WHP mark next time

Are you saying you don't beleive me. I know you saw my dyno sheet, you posted in the same thread. Dynos can vary quite a bit. I dynoed on a dynojet dyno which tends to be one of the higher reading dynos. I have been saying it from the start. I truly think my results are due to the changes made using HP tuners.
