with the current mods i have, if i were to purchase the gm supercharger and have the reflash done can any give me an estimation as to what times i would be hitting. Also, would my engine internals be able to handle the horsepower ? I was thinking of getting the blower cams after i got the charger as long as the rods and all that would be fine? What should i look into updating so the engine will handle the charger?

no one can give you an estimate to what times you will see because every engine is different, depending on how well you hve treated it, and a lot of the time a good quarter mile time depends on the driver

with that being said people have bee getting into the 14s running the gm SC and im sure there is potential for 13s and lower

your mods include exhaust and engine mounts, which maybe will give you an extra ten HP, maybe

and yes if you get the reflash your engine can handle the SC, that is why GM made the kit, i think you can even get a warranty on it

as far as the cams im sure they would be fine to put into an otherwise stock engine

so to answer your question all your engine needs to handle the supercharger is the kit and a reflash from gm

alright thanks i wasnt sure. the rods are rated to handle 250 and the kit is to jump it to 200 and maybe more. Thanks man.

just think of it this way, gm would not make a kit that was going to blow up their engines, now if you start swapping pulleys for smaller ones then you may have some trouble if you dont know what youre doing
