Hi!!
I want to know if Air by past valve and BLOW OFF VALVE is same??Cuz i built custom supercharger for my 2.4 and i read i need air by past valve ?I want know too if ABV = wastegate for the supercharger ?I use m62 cluchted pulley and when is off the engine need aspirated air but SC is off someone have a idea?
Sorry for my HORRIBLE english it so hard! I will try explain better!!! My 62 waz cluchted you can putt in ON or OFF when is off the supercharger doesnt spin right? So if he doest spin where the engine take air for run?By past valve do this?? I wish your understand me! thank
bob
I don't think the M62 is clutched, when the S/C is not making boost it just flows through the impellers. The way a bypass valve works is as boost increases, it opens up so that it will only make a certain amount of boost. Otherwise air is always flowing through the impellers on the S/C.

Thanks for the info and pic. That is the first time I have seen a supercharger clutch like that.
You should post up some pics of your setup. It sounds like it is very different from what we normally see on a 2.4
