For the past week and a half my cel light was coming on. I have a MAC code reader and it said P0172 Fuel Trim rich. I checked it at work with a Tech 2 to see the freeze frame. It happens at 50-60 mph light engine load "cruising" ,every time.
I checked fuel pressure today at work and it read 39 psi. I've noticed I had to play around with it every so often....turning it down mostly. So....I set it at 35 psi.
On the way home I noticed the pusher pump was not "hummmmming". I nursed it home and checked the fuse...blown!! wtf !!!
I got it up in the air and checked for any signs of damage to the wires....not a thing wrong. Checked the relay...good too.
Blew two fuses buy this time !! All the electical is good.
I then check fuel pressure, with out the pusher pump. Only the oem pump 80 psi !!! when it primed. At idle running, it did not move. I then tried to adjust it...no luck...pegged at 80 psi. With the fuse in for the pusher pump it pegged the needle....120 psi, easy. I only momentarily primed it with the pusher pump working. As soon as I eliminated the pusher pump it was back to 80 psi.
Any HELP appreciated. I'm going to call Hahn Tech tomarrow. The fmu is only 2 months old.
Figured it out . Broken shims in regulator. I did a search and found what I needed. Called Hahn Tech, Thanx to Bill, he gave me the phone # to the manufacturer of the shims and diaphram for Cartech. $5 for the parts $16 for 2 day air.
hey whats the phone number and parts number? looks like i have the same problem.
Hey silvr05cav, have any issues with fuel cutting when the car is hot? I've replaced the shim too and get no rise when the car is hot. Never blown the fuse though for the pusher pump though.

Yup, thats all it was . I would recomend turning the regulator out untill you feel no tension on the adjustment shaft. Then turn in slowly, while you have a fuel pressure gauge on the car. I only went in alittle over a turn and set it at 35psi and I have close to 90psi @ w.o.t.. My brass needle is 3/4 turn out from the bottom.
