Planned on doing all of this on my own but I noticed a couple things that I had to question. First off, my original engine out of my 98 GA has like a diff style thermostat housing thing in the back from the new engine I bought from the dealership. My old one looks like it routes under the engine, the new one goes off to the side near the dip stick. Second, I know you need the smaller starter for this application (2000-2002) I got it and put it in place but how does it exactly wire up, I notice its a little different. And my BIGGEST QUESTION is the ECM. I have read and read so much about it Idk exactly what to do. Tow it to be reflashed/reprogrammed, is it ok to start it blah blah blah. If it helps at all to narrow my choices, I work at a GM dealership, I can get access to a tech 2 or w/e I need.

As for the thermostat housing, can you take a picture? I have never seen a 2.4 with one like you describe.
