here are some part numbers for different MAP sensors.
Delphi 2 bar -
09350899 (common 2.4/EcoTec S/C MAP)
Delphi 2 bar -
16235939 (same sensor as above)
Delphi 3.3 bar -
09373269 or
12215049 (same style sensor as above)
Delphi 3 bar -
12223861 or
12219935 (fat style sensor, like the GTP/Turbo Sunbird)
I might have some info on a slimline 3 bar sensor as well, waiting on a part number.
I believe I've posted some of this info before, but couldnt find it when I searched..... so I made a easy to find post.

If you don't mind me adding a little info here. The GM 3-bar part #12223861 will need a new connector part #15305891(if my notes are still in working order)
I'm using the GM 2-bar part #12580698 or the Wells replacement from Autozone part #SU1285 ($45). These are from the newer GTP S/C and are plug and play with our wiring harness.
BTW; here's a link to wells 1,2,&3 bar MAPs

Any idea on which Wells 3-bar will work?
Thanks for the Wells link. I've got to wonder a little about their listings though.
According to their web site, the SU504 is the old style, large sensor. SU2348 is a Ford style sensor and the SU7375 doesn't even show up in the cross reference.
Here is additional cross reference information:
GM Wells
12215049 SU1514
09350899 SU1477
16235939 No Listing
09373269 SU1480
12223861 No Listing
12219935 No Listing
Has anyone ordered / used a Wells 2 or 3 BAR sensor? It would be nice to know if the part numbers listed above are correct.
-->Slow
I'm sorry because this is likely a dumb question, but if the VCM isn't programmed to understand passed 1bar, why would you want to use a 2bar map sensor.

bringing this back from the dead. I tried the Wells SU1285. No luck. The connector on the map is too wide for the stock clip. Has anyone else found an inexpensive 2 bar sensor that uses the same connector as stock? If not I'm gonna go with the SU1480. It appears to have the same connector but it's twice the price.
Well dcampbellz24 has an 01 cav, and John317 has a 96. That should explain the different style connectors.
Could i just go to the junk yard and pull a 2 bar MAP and plug off a GTP grand prix/bonneville, then wire the new plug into my wiring harness and wire shrink it?
Seems like it'd be a lot less trouble then buying parts that probably don't fit.
I thought about the year difference but wasn't sure if the connector changed. I guess I'm being stubborn about the factory plug aspect. Wiring doesn't bother me but I was thinking about down the road if I ever parted out it would be easier to put back to stock. I have the part numbers for the MSD 2 bar map and plug also but just wanted to throw it out there and see if anyone might have a part number for one they bought and connected to the factory plug.
As for finding a 2 bar map and plug in the junk yard here... I highly doubt it. Our junkyard rarely has anything like that.
never noticed a difference in MAP sensor plugs on 2.3/2.4's before....... and I have a had a few! (my 95 used the same as my 02!)
*hint* their all the SAME
Looks like you have the wrong one...... From AutoZone's web site, the GM #12580698 = SU1477 (might have changed in the 2 years since Gary posted that info?)

Thanks for the information Brian! I think I'm gonna try the GM 12580698.
where would i find a 3 bar map for a decent price that'll work on an ecotec? i was kinda looking around and didnt see anything that helped.
horsepower is the force that determines at what speed you hit the wall, torque is the force that determines how far you take the wall with you after you hit it.

Chris, do I sense some implications there? haha 46 bucks + shipping is pretty cheap.
Does anyone make a 2.5 bar MAP for a LD9 2.4 engine?
Sensors aren't "vehicle" specific. Just you and the computer need to know what your doing with them

Thanks SpeedRacer I know GM makes a 2.5 bar TMAP for the Ecotecs but will this work on a turbo LD9 which uses a MAP not a TMAP?
AN update on the part numbers and Wells equivalents:
