Hopefully going to be boosting soon... Need some help!

Alright,

As soon as the Manifold for the m62 is underway, I getting all the parts needed to do the s/c setup to my 99z!
Reading thru the faq's and previous post I came up with these few qustions:

1) Im going to be doing the 2.2 external coils swap with MSD coils & wires (TEAM Green mod). It reccomends 1 step colder plugs. If I s/c (to an m62), Do I need 2 step colder plugs?
BTW: I didnt know if I should post here or in the performance section, but I figure it had to do with boosting sooo....

2) It was said I need the gm s/c kit for the m45 to make the m62 work but from the looks of it, It really just looks like I need a longer belt. Is this true? (I know you cant always get away with doing easy stuff)
-if so, then does anyone have the pn for the m45 gm s/c kit. (not including the blower)

3) I read the faq, and I believe the Cobalt SS injectors (350cc/370cc) are ample enough for the setup or any s/c setup without any fab work or splicing. Is my fuel pump good enough or must I upgrade to the e3257 *AutoZone pn (please correct if wrong). Is there a bigger injector that can be used w/out splice work?

4) Im going to do the secret cam swap as well, along with some internal work (forged pistons, rods, arp head studs, etc.). Will the cams cause any problems?

5) Is there anything else needed or the BOOSTED JBOeons would recommend?

Thank you for all your help in advance guys and gals. I cant wait to be boostin'! lol

If you're going to plan on using the M62 to make gobs and gobs of power, stop now. You won't need to upgrade your internals until you get into the mid 200 horsepower range. With the M62, that's 14-15 psi.

If you want to put he m62 on your 2.4, it's a LOT more work than simply swapping a belt. You'll need to make a custom intake manifold and other stuff. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply Admiral Jedi.

Well the reason for uping the internals, is so I wont have to worry about doing them later, plus its an added relief that my internals can handle that and more power once I get there.

I now it involves more than swapping a belt. A custom intake is in the works by "Mike". It needs to be tuned, mod the fuel, keep it cool, etc. etc.

Ive got most of the details down already and most of the parts, thats why Im trying to ask everyone if they can help out with the questions Ive posted. THose are probably the last few I can think of to do this setup.

1 One step colder should be good enough.
2 You need the m45 kit for way more than just the belt. There is no part number for the kit without the blower itself.
3 I do not know how well the m45 reflash will work with injectors bigger than the 310cc it comes with. I would try and use the injectors you mention and have it tuned with HPtuners not the gm reflash. Your fuel pump should be good. No need to replace it till it goes.
4 Secret cams should a good cam choice and not cause any problems.
5 HPtuners and a wideband also water injection would be a very good idea. Also you might want to consider a quick change pulley kit. Contact this guy for your quick change pulleys. His email is nherbst396@yahoo.com.
