6PSI + GM 310cc injectors = fine?

I just ordered the 2.6" pulley which should net me 5-6PSI. (I get @!#$ boost numbers, I know. 4-5 PSI right now on 2.7")

Should be around the ball-park, but only way to really tell is hooking up a wideband to it and take your car for a spin. I have Ford red tops (310cc) with 5 PSI on a turbo, and I have been rich and running strong for 30,000+ miles so far (knock on wood). But Ive also ran my car with a Wide band to make sure I was good.

I would assume them to be ok. But like stated hook up the wideband.......

The best way would be to log your duty cycle using hp tuners. I would see if there is anyone near you who has it. CFM is more important then psi. Also a wideband should be used to monitor AFR. Or at the very least put it on the dyno once you have installed the 2.6

id be using a alky kit with the 2.6 pulley

also id be checking for boost leaks , or incorrect reading gauge

the gm s/c kit runs lean , i had to use 36lb injectors to get the afr in the right range , mine ran 13.0 with the kit injectors , and 11.5 with the 36lb , went from low 15's in the 1/4 to low 14's

I've checked all that, it reads right. I've been to the track with the 2.8 @ 3-4 PSI and the 2.7 at 4-5 PSI. It runs like it's running on said boost.

I always thought the GM S/C kit ran rich, at least that's what many on here said. Then again I only have a narrowband O2.

Also I'm getting a Snow Performance meth kit quite soon.

Boost leaks, ehh my bypass might be one of the ones that are @!#$ up. I don't see anywhere or hear anything that would indicate any leak. Then again I'm not sure how to check for sure... Boost/AF combo gauge is high quality, no kinks in line. Hose is fully in the engine bay which goes to an electronic sensor that relays the info to the gauge inside the car.

Hah, yeah I was pissed. My gauge reads it fine. Not sure what to check to see if I'm leaking any boost. Kinda hard to check since you only boost during driving, can't exactly stick your head around the engine bay listening then.

Who knows, it could also be due to my high mileage (175,700 mi) and engine wear. Or maybe the previous owner P&P'd the head. (ya right)

Yeah, on the same note of what Wade said, don't put all your trust into a WB02 and AFRs.

I was just recently tuning my car (turbo 2.4 with fully built motor and methanol injection) and monitoring various boost levels in comparison to the AFRs my Innovate wideband was spitting out. The thing was, my AFRs were reading rich. At 5 PSI, 10 PSI, 15 PSI, even at 20 PSI. So, according to my AFRs, everything was A-okay. This couldn't have been more wrong. At a certain boost level, though I am still unsure as to the exact value, but am suspect of anything above 10 PSI, it would appear that my injectors were slamming wide open and becoming stuck in that position. Fuel was dumping constantly and essentially soaking everything. My AFRs would read rich though as a fair amount of unburnt fuel (that was being injected at the wrong time) would trigger the WBO2 to read this way. Meanwhile, my injectors were running well over 80% duty cycle (the upper limit of where injectors should be run at).

The moral of the story, yeah, widebands are great tunning tools, and I don't drive without mine, but, AFRs are far from being the sole deciding tunning parameter.

I ran the S/C injectors with 7.5 PSI, built motor with HO cams and a ported head and 2.4" pulley. My A/F stayed in the mid 12s.

I'm seeing upwards of 7psi and having no problems with my 310s.
