Om gonna make my 00 cay z24 turbo VERY SOON!!! and I have almost everything except some good injectors, but i really dint know which to buy. What would you guys recommend?
A friend of mine told me to buy some camaro injectors, but I dint think it would work. SO let me know what you guys think.
Hit me back!! thanks
the whole injector topic is confusing. from what i understand the 00 is high impedance.
if you go aftermarket you'll need injector clips off a 95-99 car and to modify the fuel rail.
not sure exactly what injectors match the factory size perfectly. i used accels and they seem to be working fine
14.82 @ 97 mph
run the ford green top 42lbs /440cc injectors out of the svt lightning.
they are the same length and just need the clips wired in and should supply enough fuel for a bit.
and where I can get those ford green tops? at my local auto shop or i can get them online?
Most 99's are high impedance too. RC engineering has direct fit injectors for our cars. BUT you will need to buy the wiring clips for them and splice them into your stock wiring, it's very simple. I have 750cc's and they are top notch.
i heard the supercharged cobalt injectors are direct fit for the 00-02 z24;s,.. is that true??
Eat my shift
^^^I have a set of aftermarket 42lb Cobalt SS injectors, and they aren't the Bosch style plug. Honestly, it looks like they would work with the plugs that most 2200 motors have. I don't know the exact name of the plug, but it's much skinnier/smaller than the bosch style.
Right now I'm running a set of 24lb Ford Mustang injectors. Just enough to get me by while I break in the motor, but not "beefy enough" to be uncontrollable by the (OEM-tuned) computer
Cobalt SS injectors are not a direct fit. The wiring clips are the same as the 00+ 2.4's (I also think the 2200's as well). They are shorter than stock LD9 injectors, but you can modify the fuel rail for that. I have them on my 01 Z24. The stock SS/SC injectoprs are 36lb.
FU Tuning
anyone have an idea what the specs are out of the high impedence injectors or where to find

Modify the rail how? What I had to back in the day was make a new bracket (on the rail) because I think the Bosch style were taller or something. It's been a while, though.
I've got the Ford Green Tops and they work wonders.
2010 Subaru Impreza WRX Limited
1999 Cavalier Z24 Supercharged
1999 Grand AM SE (Beater Car)
1997 GMC Sierra
2007 Honda CBR 600RR
2005 Honda TRX450R
i have the stock cobalt injectors on mine... spliced the the clips into stock wiring and all i did to the fuel rail was re-drill a hole for the mounting bolts so it could press in the shorter style injector. easy modification
although i do have the 2200.

Injectors ..............
Pick the size you need, Just make sure there Bosch Style and High Impedence (11-16 ohms). All of those will fit in your engine. If you dont want to pay those prices try to find the ones you want on Ebay. Also you will need the plugs for them and splice them into your injector harness to make them work. (2 wire ..snip snip. Peice of cake).
