3 rd gen 3400 Turbo Videos

Hey guys, I have been on this site reading for about 6 years and thought I'd give back a bit. I knew how to change a tire when I started here and from there went on following others such as cookie with his boosted quad four and john mack and learned alot well now I will give back. Here are some vids showing what I made on my own right from stainless headers, wiring harness and the engine itself. I started this car running 16.9 @ 70 something mph and now run 12.5 @ 115 with no launch and will be hitting 11's with a new cam and 15 PSi of boost in the spring. All vids are at 11 psi and the titles show most specs if you have not read my reg. To those who have helped thanks and all others hope I can show what can be achieved with a little innovation, can is a full street car which I put 1000 KM per week on and it has been stored every winter since new. Enjoy!

Johnny I have more questions for you. Will I have to get a chip "burned" for the Z24 computer to run the 3400 inectors? Also, if I want to use my getrag Tranny, all I have to change is the mounts right? Everything else the same?

Wow I was expecting to see a 3400 in a second gen not a third. Are you member of V6Z24.COM? Nice videos, but you have got to have whoever is recording zoom down the track so we can see the board show your times.

We don't have a board at the end of the track like most tracks, just an announcer and a guy who passed out the slips at the return gate. No pics just those couple of videos. The closes to a pic up close is just the random vid I posted.

Yeah the track here isn't what you guys are accustom to. Its actually an airstrip with the lights and sensors. Great times Jonathan. You and Doug are reeeal close! Should be interesting next year with both of get head work done.

Actually Jonathan, I think Doug is using a GT28. He wanted something that would spool fast for targa.

No, Doug owns the white 240sx in the video that Jonathan posted. It has an SR20 motor. Wicked car.

Thanks for the comments guys, I think doug will do a little more modding over the winter to keep getting faster. I hope to hit 11's, shouldn't be a problem trapping at 115 now and since the 12.7 posted, ran a 12.5 with the same @!#$ty launches. I am sending my turbo back to kenetic and getting the seals done and a stage 4 or P trim wheel installed in the compressor and instead of 11 psi I am going to run 15 psi and also I will have a LSD and a custom ground turbo cam along with other little tweaks such as a better than my current reactive cone pos filter and maybe a bigger throttle body. I am using megasquirt so I can use a cam ground for the 2.8/3.1 cause the megasquirt doesnt require a cam sensor, if anybody was wondering how I will cam a 3400.

Johnny, I saw in a post on here a while ago, a guy from Ontario had a 3400 Swapped cavalier. It was Naturally aspirated with bolt-ons. He had an aftermarket cam, I've tried contacting him several times since then but he hasn't responded. What kind of cam would you recommend for a naturally aspirated 3400?

Sweet project man. I got the 3100 in my car now but planing to build a turbo 3400 for next summer. The biggest question i have about your set up is, for the turbo, did u build your headers so that all 6 cyl flow into the turbo or just the front 3??
