Ok ive been looking around and ive found that us saab guys do have upgrades for the td04l that uses the same flange. Basicall its a TD04HL-18T which can also be clipped and ported. They use the stock housing and from what i can understand they fit the 18t weel in it. This will make the saab setup able to support up to 350hp. Just thought id share for anyone wanting to upgrade..phil

the td04hl is the turbo i had and just got rid of
^^^yes but wasnt yours a t25/28 flange.....this can be done to our saab td04l's so we dont have to change the manifold..

I can not understand for the life of me how they come up with the numbers for these turbos. Does anyone have a link that explains what the numbers mean?

yes mine was a t28 flanged turbo
seeing this makes me wish i had just gone with the saab setup instead, i stil cant finish my my turbo kit and i had a complete saab kit in front of me for sale for 400 because the guy was short on money
the saab kit with thisupgrade i could see it capable of 300ish whp...

yah i seen alot of sites out of the uk since this is a popular turbo upgrade for the volvos and such..
There is a few guys on the saab forums that will add the new compressor wheel for around 300 bucks, same thing really and no need to pay 1200 bucks for a all new turbo.
