Is there somewhere I can get like instructions on how to install a turbo kit? Because I just bought a complete T3/T4 hybrid kit and want to install it.
2004 Ecotec Cavalier 9.9 in the 1/8th mile. 15.7 in the 1/4 mile.
and this 'kit' doesn't come with instructions?
Plug it into the electronic supercharger for optimum boost..
Just Kidding,
Do a search, I know there is a lot on here about it. Where did you get your kit from? For how much?
Can I give you some advice I wish someone gave me a while ago. if you arent 100% sure about how every single peice works, then you shouldnt do the install. I went down that road by my self, and I regret it everyday. mind you what I learend from that was amzing but it wasnt worth the price of my motor.

Kick azz is my boost hero!!! "
Thats kind of shady that a "kit" didn't come with instrctions.
Hmm, looks like you have a lot of reading to do. If that is the kit you have it does look like you some quality parts though. What type of fuel upgrades did it include? Looks like you will have to fab a down pipe. Alot of other things too. Good luck and don't rush it. It's surely not going to happen in a weekend I'm sure. Time spent will be well worth it in the end.
Fuel system upgrades are not a must, but are recommended on low boost applications.
And on second thought, he doesn't have that kit, as the manifold is for a LN2, not the ECO.
The major thing holding me back from the Turbo install, (other than cash) is the need to fab a down pipe, as i don't have the tools :-(
HMM, I would definately run a BEGI fmu or equiv. When I was running at 5 psi it ran great AFRs at 45psi fuel pressure at idle and 80-90 under 5 psi with the 8:1 FMU. I would suggest doing the same but whatever works.
eek....third hand ebay turbo....
Wish i could help more, but i have a basic knowledge, and i dont wana instruct you wrong. Use google to search, i cant seem to find it now, but i came across a pdf for the ECO install a while back.
yea the eBay turbo would worry me. before you install it id give it a good check over. make sure it doesn't have ANY shaft play and make sure the oil seals are good. If you know your way around a car you should be able to figure it out. i mean its fairly self explanatory as long as you know which pieces connect to what... i mean if you have a DIY turbo 'kit' you should know every thing about it, as no matter how good of quality parts you have, turbo'd cars find lil problems here and there that you may have to over come. and i mean specifically ones that are not factory. It is a huge undertaking and you have to be prepared for the worst. so i suggest do your research and have a friend help you and put it 2gether. its a learning experience in itself. but i would say knowing your way around everything would be your best bet....
