Ok so I've tried to paint my charge pipes. Didn't go so well. How do you guys that have painted pipes do it?

what didnt go well?? Shouldnt be hard..
if they are painted id suggest taking the old paint off, sand with 600 or so and throw a primer on there and then a color coat and clear. May i suggest ceramic coating them...our local guy charges $14 a foot so its not to bad..phil

Ive seen it done with engine paint and a high temp clear, it was a gloss black, looked very good. You must go very slow with the paint, as it will Run like a mofo if you go to heavy.
sand and prime them to give a good adhesion surface.
I used Hi-temp enamel, worked well.

Take them to a professional body shop and have them painted the same color as you car. That would look really good. I think alot of people get them powder coated though.

I did all that but the paint just chipped right off. Ehh, probably just have em powder coated or something. Probably black, that way they won't look dirty, anyone that knows me knows that I could care less if it's clean under the hood.

R u sure...the log only showed me hitting 100mph, and I was pretty far ahead at that point. lol
But you could've been letting off at that point, we'll find out for sure on Saturday, and my tune will be a lil better at that point too, I'll be up there on Friday night working w/ Tom on it.
And what'd you buy? I'm curious...
