Heres my plans for next year for my 97 Sunfire SE
Cavalier Connection Turbo Kit
RK Sport Cat-Back
Magnaflow High Flow Cat
Hypertech LT1 FPR
310cc High Impedence Injectors
Raptor BOV
RK Sport Upper and Lower Motor Mounts
I will be apgrading my tranny, getting a performance clutch and a team green LSD, but for right now, I'm debating on going with this turbo set up on the 2.2, or doing a 3400 swap. Any suggestions?
Cav connection is no more (at least not offering turbo kits unless you buy five of them). Hahn and JBP are the only "kits" that I'm aware of for the LN2
If your state doesn't do a sniff or visual test, I'd omit the cat altogether. If you plan on building your motor and upping the boost, it's just going to hurt you down the road.
^^^ i thought a cat on a turbocharged car was a good thing...
MAN i was wrong. they dont do a sniff or visual test here where i live...
backpressure is a bad thing
If thats your plans for a build, you better include a top feed conversion if you want to run those injectors.
Emissions testing or not, just run a cat.
fortune cookie say: better a delay than a disaster
its not backpressure ..... its exhaust velosity and volume .... and a GOOD (performance) cat wont hurt you much ....
its better to have the cat, but you can always install it with v-band clamps on each end and remove it for track days.
