So i'm rebuilding my Ld9 out of my 2001 sunfire and just wondering if the spark plugs and injectors will be good enough or if i should upgrade, and to what. So here is a list of what i'm doing and let me know what you think about the injectors and plugs...
-JE Aluminum Forged Pistons over .020 as
-H-beam eagle Rods
-Secret Cams Swap
-port and polishing the head
-Cometic Head Gasket
-Modified Oil pump
-M45 supercharger ported and polished with 2.6" pulley
-Pacesetter armourcoat header and Magnaflow dual cat back 2.25"
-upgraded lifters and springs (haven't decided which way to go any help here to would be great!)
-Lighter Crank pulley and alternator pulley from Mike when they are finished...
It's getting completely done... hot tanked, Bored .020 over, balanced, grounded crank, valve job...and so on....I mean EVERYTHING!
Anyway.... would the factory plugs and 310 cc injectors still hold up or should i go bigger and to what? And is there any need to upgrade the fuel rail? i heard the ld9 rail can hold the fuel no problem...i had a chance to get a venom fuel rail but i passed it up....so i hope not. Any help would be appreciated as i'm stumped on what to do for this. Thanks!

sorry i meant the factory ac delco plugs and 310 cc injectors that came with the supercharger.....

310's are really only good up to about 200 horsepower. You should consider larger injectors, but the m45 isn't realy demanding of colder plugs. You should be fine with stock heat range or 1 cooler.

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.

The sc kit comes with one step colder. You should be fine with those.
Bigger injectors are a good idea but they are worthless unless you have some way to tune for them. You are fine with the stock fuel rail.
If you are going all out and doing a cometic head gasket then get some ARP head studs. Might as well get a main stud kit to.
I noticed you made no mention of using different valves. If you are going to do all that work I would put in stainless steel stock size or +1mm valves. As for the lifters I would use stock 2.4 and also stock 2.4 springs. There is no need for 2.3 springs unless you go with bigger than secret cams and the same goes for the lifters.
By the way I am running the secret cams, stock size stainless steel valves, and with 2.4 lifters and springs. 7000 RPM redline as well with no issues. Check my profile for more info on my build.
The most important thing I see that you do not have listed is alky injection. You will definatly want it with a 2.6 pulley.

you didnt say what compression ratio you are gonna run, with running the gm s/c i would up the compression as well.
Why not go with stock compression ratio?

got another question ( well 2)...is lowering my compression to 9:1 with a .020 over bore going to hurt my boost from my s/c (am i going to lose boost?), and if i don't use hpt am i limiting alot of horsepower / tourque and other benefits... meaning is it really worth it? I'm stuck deciding if i want to buy it for 650+shipping+duty+????, and the closest person i know is 5 hours away and every time i wanted to change something or have a problem it would be hell.....any money.
thanks wade.....got the s.s lifters (good idea), and am looking into alky as well...

Lowering your compression does not have any effect on how much the boost the supercharger produces. You will have less power with 9:1 pistons because the air the supercharger forces in will be compressed 9x as oppsosed to 9.7x with the stock psitons. The more you compress the air the the more power it will produce when it burns.
Maybe it will would be a good idea for you to shell out the money for hpt in your case.
I bet you meant SS valves. I have never heard of SS lifters.

not to thread .well here is a question i am doing the same buld and i plan on running 10:1 cr but i have a cometic head gasket that is .30 thick . with this cr pistons and the gasket will it keep me at the same cr as stock. ? i am also gonnna surface the head. down. i am gonna run the gm charger.

As long as your head is flat and not warped I would not mess with it shaving it. Could not tell you on that as I am not sure the thickness of the stock head gasket.
