i have a 1999 pontiac sun-fire 2.2l and i want to put a turbo kit on it i was looking at the on at www.turbokits.com its the only decent complete kit i can find if anyone knows another site with legit turbo kits for my car i would like it if you would leave the link
hahn..end of story..or maybe read the stickies and build your own "kit"
read the stickeys? i was thinking about building my own kit but disided i would rather just buy it all at once and be done with it
I like the title of the thread
I'd go with Hahn if you'll be happy maxing out around 200whp. Otherwise, you need to put your own kit together.

ok i do plan to defenetly exeed 200 whp. what would go into my own kit? is there anyone elce who has peiced together there own kit for the 2.2 noneco? if so a parts list would be appreshiated and what kind of whp are you making? money is not an issue when it comes to my car beacuse im 17 with a fulll time job and no bills so what would be the primo kit for my car? oh and when i doo the turbo install im putting in all solid moter and tranny mounts and i plan to build the moter compleatly. i will also be fabrickating my own 2 1/2-3 in exaust.
To build your own kit, you must first understand how a turbo kit works, and what each component does, after you do that, then you'll already know what parts you'll need. Some kits are different than others. Some have FMU's, some use electronics to control fuel, which route you go depends on your model make and year.

Once you know how it works, a better question to ask would be where do I find this part. That's the hard part in building your own kit. Getting all the pieces, and making sure they fit together.

If you only knew the truth about that............
We've been sent 2 j-tuner manifolds to be fixed from welds breaking. This is why we are making something close to theirs in SS and tig welded so the welds don't blow out.

Some of that is more than unnecessary, fill out your profile so we know more about your car.

its compleatly factory right no but there is about 10- 13 grand im willing to invest in the moter alone. i want to do my turbo kit first then i will buy a new tranny and rebuild my moter
if you havethat much may i offer a suggestion and do a built and turboed eco swap...
Considering your funds, and your level of knowledge, just take it to a shop and tell them what you want it to do.
If I had that much money to throw away, my car would be LS1 powered

i do have much mecanical knowlage. i am not experienced in turbos is there a good site i can go to to ler more like what trim sizes are and to lern the specifics?
i defenetly considered doing the eco swap but i do not have space to have both cars while i do the swap.
