Lots and lots of money for custom fabrication of an intake manifold.

Honestly, if your asking what you need to do, this idea is way over your head and you might want to consider looking for the M62 and intake manifold from an SS cobalt.

The M90 swap has been debated BIG TIME for the LSJ guys.....If you look at the EATON website the advantages of the M90 over the M62 are minimal, and can be overcome with just porting the ecotec head and installing the COMP CAMS blower cams....the M90 in an ecotec motor would be just to say: "I DID IT" the amount of power that you will gain isn't worth the money.....the reason why the M62 has limitations with the LSJ guys is because there arrent any aftermarket cams on the market other than regrinds of the stock cams with almost the same grinds as the HKS Evo cams (272's, ECT).......the 2L ECOTEC guys has all of the advantages that the LSJ guys don't......we have access to cheap ported heads and cams that have already been proven products......having the cams and the ported head will allow you to make the same power as the guys who have to run "meth" while only using an aftermarket heat exchanger.....same power at less boost.....lower inlet air temps.....with the right parts and the m62 on a 2.2L ECOTEC, the J-body guys should be right there with the Cobalt SS guys.....for WAY less money.....and cheaper insurance....WITH the sleeper factor.....

isnt worth the money for the manifold??

i just saw a custom sheet metal intake that gave the ability to mount an M90 on a 2.3 quad 4 go on ebay for $88.00. granted this kind of deal is a freakin diamond in the rough, but come on... its not impossible.

Nothing is impossible....with enough money....people who are SMART with thier money usually go further with it though.....you can make MORE power for cheaper with the M62 blower than the M90......hands down.....like I said.....it would only be done by someone who wan't looking to put a bunch of power down....they would just be looking for the attention of doing the m90 swap onto the 2.2L Ecotec motor......one of the fun problems that you will have fun fixing is finding a heat exchanger for your "custom" manifold plate.....since all of the aftermarket heat exchangers are made for a 3.8L V-6.....and probrably the only one that you will be able to run will be the ZZP "short stack"....it's just simply not worth dumping all of that money into a swap that wont give you the power that a simple M62 blower instal will do.....the money that you would save by going with the tried and true parts for the ECOTEC/m62 combination you can use on a ported head, and some cams.....making more power...more reliably...Plus you would have to change the snout of the M90, and then worry about it being an inch taller.....and then add the heat exchanger...does that clear the radiator supprt?......it would just be more trouble than it's worth man.....but if your only doing it for the WOW factor....then do it.....if it's more power you want...it's the not so cash friendly way to do it.......and you will go broke trying to make the same power that you could have with a M62, or even a turbo if you don't have to smog the car in California.........I don't mean to step on your dreams man...but I know how projects can just get rediculously expensive just because someone couldn't put down the SUPER STREET mentality and use some common sense....wow factor will only be with the J-body guys that know what they are looking at....wouldn't you rather be in the staging lanes having people come up to you asking what kind of set-up you have....because they have never seen a Cavalier as fast as yours before? I dunno about you man.....but parking lot WOWS are for rattle canned interiors and cars that are "sponsored by PEP BOYS".........time slips shut people up, and mod lists just make people talk.....
