If you have the hahn kit with a cat does it pass the smog test?
depends on your local and state laws
if all they care about is a obd2 scan test , and you have no ses or pending codes , youd be fine
they test through the tail pipe
I think Brett - slvr05cav - passed in PA with a sniff test...mine is in March
If you are worried about the sniff test, just put your stock injectors in when you drive it to the testing center, but dont boost it. That should take care of any 02 sensor issues.
Street-Legal 2003 Sunfire 10.58 @ 139 MPH
thanks adam just curious thats all.
Two speed idle smog test or on a dyno?
California puts a 50% load on the vehicle at 15 mph and 25% load at 25 mph in enhanced smog areas. I'm not sure about other states but I'm sure it might be the same.
I'm thinking 50% load will put you into boost.
Run it as is, if you AFR is not too rich or lean.

Matt K is right !! I passed Pa emissions with no problem. There is no "sniff" test like they used in the past. Now they plug into your serial data port and check to make sure 5 out of 15 emissions flags are set. I do work at a Chevrolet Dealership and have access to a Tech2. The car passed all 15, I was amazed !!!
I am running a Dynomax High-flow "49 state legal" converter. I never had any problems with my cel light coming on.
When I first installed the kit I did get codes for too rich condition and secondary O2 system failure. This was because I was running to much fuel pressure and no cat with no O2 eliminator. Before the cat I was using the 2 spark plug fowler trick and that actually worked. The reason I put the cat on was to get rid of the raspy exhaust noise.
