when boosting the ecotec do need any computer moding or can you run stock computer and you have run an msd btm or can retard timing from a local garage or do even have to retard the timing on a ecotec when turboing what iam trying to say is can you bolt on a turbo instal an intercooler and run all necassary oil and coolant lines and away i go if not can somebody tell me exactly what parts i need to run a good turbo system i kinda want to run 8psi to 14psi and run it saftley
You will need more fuel...need bigger injectors... need fuel pump... need FMU or real computer tuning.
It would be best for you to buy a kit from hahnraccraft.com. It comes with everything you need to safely run 8psi.

Check Profile or use the search button. As for running 14psi safely, you won't be able to do it for long on stock internals. I got lucky and got a year out of stock internals at that boost level.

hahn also runs your fuel pressure at like 160 psi, which I dont agree with. I like running my 360cc or 440cc injectors running on 55 psi and some tweaking with hp tuners.

wow that was hard to understand.
you need to tune the ecu, you cannot bolt on a turbo and go.
call up hahn racecraft and order a kit.
but as far as ease and a good start, hahn is the way to go

The hahn kit does not have your fuel pressure up to 160psi. My fuel pressure maxed at 90psi at full boost.
