What brand of windshield washer fluid are you guys using?? Im about to go install my kit and was wondering wat fluid i can run. I have a bottle of the green Mr. Clean washer fluid, any good??

I am using 60% distiled water and 40% Methanol with my M-45 and no issues.
they say the blue fluid thats rated for -20 degrees has methanol in it.
THE MR CLEAN -30 IS ABOUT 35% METHANOL, I GOT "BOOST JUICE" FROM SNOW PERFORMANCE WHICH IS 49% BUT IT IS A LITTLE EXPENSIVE $30 FOR 4 GALLONS!
I went out and bought Methyl Hydrate which is 99.9 pure Methanol.
You can find it in your paint section of your local stores
I got mine in Canada at Canadian Tire for 6 bucks and i know Walmart sells it also might be in smaller containers though
washer fluid never works as good as i want for me so i use 100% meth with a tad of water. Makes a huge difference with my motor.
What we recommend to our customers is a 50/50 mix. Gives us a good baseline as far as tuning etc. If the need for some additional knock supression up the % of methanol. A good 50/50 mix of windsheild washer fluid WE have found works well is the Peak -30 washer fluid. Hope that helps. Seems to have worked well for us as far as tuning our customers vehicles.

I say drop the idea of Mr Clean and head to walmart or whatever other store you can find it in
Washer fluids have cleaners and such you dont need to be dumping into your motor
i already bought 4 gallons of it.... lol thats why i wanna use it but i guess ill just dump it into my washer fluid reservoir.... should last me about 2 years seeing that i never use them. id rather wipe my windshield with a rag and window cleaner...

i ran the yellow bottled HEET, and distilled water (make sure it is distilled water). Worked well with me.
Heat is also 4 bucks a bottle and its small

Notice how cheap and easy it would be to use the already mixed stuff. No shopping around for bottles of heat or using winsheild washer fluid which is almost never 51% water 49% methanol. Almost all washer fluid contains some kind of detergent. Also notice snow performance has a liftime warranty if you use strictly that fluid. It really is not any more expensive and is by far more conveinent. Oh and you can use it to wash your windows all year round since the methanol is actually what is put into the -xx windsheild washer fluid to keep it from freezing..

Also something else you guys need to consider. The water you use. Hard water or tap is full of minerals and floride ect.... so it is obviously not a good chioce. Soft water has salt in it. So that leaves distilled drinking water and the best water out there RO water. Sure you can go to the store and buy your distilled drinking water and buy your heat and mix them but that is going to be just as expensive as buying the stuff already mixed. The RO water I mention most of you prolly do not even know what it is or how it is different or where to find it.
RO water can be found at SOME car washes. If the car wash had RO water it would only be used in the SPOT FREE RINSE mode and is prolly going to cost you 2 bucks for a gallon of it. SPOT FREE RINSE is low presure remember. The regular high pressure rinse water is usually straight tap water. **NOTE** A RO water system is not cheap so only some of the nicest car washes will use it. If you want it you would be wise to get to know the car wash owner and verify that it truly is RO water.
Those of you that go the -xx washer fluid route had better stock up when it is in season otherwise that will not be an option come summer. And those of you who live somewhere where -xx washer fluid is not sold are really in a bind.
So I am willing to bet that buying the premixed stuff is your best bet beacause it is made with purified water and methanol only. Granted I am sure the other stuff will work just fine. You could get out and piss in it and run that if you wanted to but so far I can not see why you would not just buy the premixed stuff.

Just for @!#$s and gigles. I have some Prestone -34 washer fluid handy so here is what is in it.
Contains methyl alcohol (67-56-1), ethylene glycol (107-21-1), water (7732-18-5) and silcone polymer.
Notice washer fluid will not say the exact mix of water to other contents and often has ethylene glycol as an atifreeze ans some sort of detergent.

I have ran probably close to 40 gallons of SNOW PERFORMANCE pre mix "boost cooler" through my engine with awesome CONSISTANT results. To me its worth the money just for ease and I have it within 3 days of ordering.

Not sure where you got 60 bucks from. I just checked and the cost was 29.95+19.97 for shipping. So more like 50. Damn I never checked what shipping was when I posted that link. It does seem a litle high to me.
