I find that anxiety/suspense is the biggest killer come install time

well if you have all the parts and are just slapping them all on there then I would say you could have it running in a couple days. But if you are building it then its gonna take A LOT longer. But I didn't think it would take 4 months? hmmm, something special up vincent's sleeve.

Took about 3 months to gather up and test/clean all parts. Installed in 5 days, an hour here and there, took another 2 days to get a decent tune and everything running okay.

Actually I was having a conversation with someone about my turbo system. I was like holy crap this is expensive. He made the most realistic knowledgeable comment, he said, Yeah your right, doing it right the first time usually is more expensive and takes a lot longer.

The only things drawing me back are as follows...
Money.... duh lol...
the fact i keep buying stuff i dont need to get the car running with a complete turbo system. for example... i just bought toyo tails haha. did i need them? nope but they arent exactly easy to come by and i always wanted them so why not...
The order im doing things in takes time. I could have taken my car to any exhaust shop in the world this week and have it done but im taking it to my friends shop which has an excellent reputation. Car is getting exhaust march 8th at 8 am.
weather.... its f'ing cold. enough said.
Lazy.... i work as much as i can and sometimes i just dont feel like doing any more or i have everything done that i can as of now and cant go any further. i need the exhaust done to run the charge pipes. i need the oil system done to run the charge pipes. so its all in order.

something that took a lot of time and money was getting everything coated. i have a lot of money wrapped up there alone. also a BIG kicker was my gauges. i went a little expensive for some reason. What i came up with was, if im going to be looking at them every day then they may as well be what i want. plus i went all electric because i dont want to run lines into the cabin.

its a hell of a lot of work and not cheap at all.
id say im gonna have 4-5 months into it, and about $4000 sucks but its gonna be done right and im excited haha. as much as i want spring, i dont want it because the car isnt ready and i want to take advantage of every day we have thats nice.

Right now im at about a week and a half with the turbo kit. Kinda at a stand still right now because I need a custom intake manifold made, so I gotta get my engine over to my friends shop to make it, then bring it back to my place and and make my charge pipes.

Ok..well lets make this easy. if you have every little part and bolt and everything (ie hahn kit) then yoi can get it done in a weekend. If your collecting as you go..years.

Story of my life man.

Personally Im taking my sweet ass time. I am actually on the 2nd year of my build as far as the turbo set up. But that is mainly because i got screwed over by a company that was suppose to do all the work for me. Instead they just jacked my parts and kept my money. So now i am doing it all myself and learning EVERYTHING i can in the process. I would imagine if you know what your doing realisticly in a solid day you could be up and running. Provide you know what your doing and have every tool you could imagine to do any customizing your going to have to do.

Took up a few months to get all the parts gathered, but from there A buddy and I worked on it for about 2 and a half days, I started early one friday morning pulling off my header/exhuast, mounted the log/turbo/wastegate// then I pulled the front bumper off and mounted my intercooler, the next morning we loaded the car on a dollie and took it to my buddies garage loaded full of 3" pipes for the custom 3" turboback (no cat), 2.5pipes for I/C and welded them up/fabbed everything, then the third day we finished up a few misc/ details and put a rough tune on it and it was done.. I remeber the first time I drove it, I could hear the air wistling though the chargepipes, it was amazing haha

I can't really say just how long it took to install the turbo and stuff because I completely built my engine as well as built the kit from scratch. I had the car up and running on the old setup and build after about 10 months... However now I've went to a larger turbo and a few new mods so i'm going on another 5 months... It's been a long ass process
