I looked at gmpartsdirect.com and saw that the supercharger is only $1400. But then they tack on almost $400 with shipping and tax. Is there anywhere else i can get one for cheaper? minus the shipping, i thought that the price was a pretty good deal, but once they added the shipping, it doesn't seem much more than getting it from a dealer (esp. if you can get a gm discount....i dont know if you can on parts like this or not)
just for the blower or the whole kit?

that doesnt have the map sensor, injectors or spark plugs.....which all come in the kit........not to mention none of the bolts you need. not worth the hassle.
its also AS-IS ......could be DOA

and your point??? my car had 157200 on it when i supercharged it and its at 160 now running good. its all about how you take care of your car man.....

also, i know i have to get it re-calibrated. what does the dealership charge to get this done? i dont know if its cheap like $20, or if they charge an arm and a leg like everything else.

I have not personally bought from pace performance but many here have and had nothing but good things to say about them. gmpartsdirect trys to make it look like whatever you are buying is a good deal then they turn around and give you the shaft with their way overpriced shipping.

awesome. Thanks guys. Is there anything else i need to know before making a commitment on supercharging the car? Do i need anything other than whats in this kit? or do i will i need to start putting in 93 gas instead of 87? I have done some research on the org but i am still just getting started
Yes you will only want to run 91-93 octane gas once it is supercharged. It tells you this in the instruction manual and even comes with a sticker that says premium fuel only.

im in the same position im considering supercharging my car ive looked around and pace seems to be the best and have the lowest prices. does anyone know how much dealers usually charge for a reflash?

mine was like 150ish.... i dont have hookups like everyone else seems to have... if its more than that your prolly gettin ripped off
its hard to find a dealer that will do it, most of them say "uhhhh.... cavaliers are supercharged?" at least thats my experience
yeah 150 's not bad as long as thers no b.s like if u bought the kit from the dealer thats wat u pay u kno. and if u bought it somewhere else theyll charge a rediculous price im hoping not im saving now, just tryin to get the grand total of everything down. thanks by the way.
