Quick question??

Copied from the Hahn Racecraft website regarding the stage 2 turbo kit for the 2200..:

Boost: 8 PSI

HP: 171 Wheel horsepower

Installation Time: 12-14 Hours

>>>>Motor Modifications Needed: None<<<<<

Kit Includes: Super 15G Turbocharger, manifold, intake and piping, fuel system, oiling system, blow off valve, front mount intercooler (core dimensions 24”x6.5”x4.5”) with integral return chamber, intercooler piping, all installation hardware, gaskets, couplers and clamps.

It says no engine mods needed?? i know from reading that the concensus is that to have a turbo you need to have a stronger engine so whats up with this? i know hahn is a well respected company so if they say no mods required is it true or what?

There are no engine modifications needed... ***AT 8PSI*** if you up the boost you may need forged internals. But with that kit all i'd suggest is a higher volume fuel pump/injectors

Any boost is gonna make your engine more likely to detonate. Forged internals will lower your chances, but you will still always have that risk.

Yah that kit on 8 psi puts out only 171 hp which the 2200 has been proven to be able to handle alot more then that completly stock..with a good tune that is...250 has been proven and i have heard rumors of 300 ish on a stock 2200...
