I bought the kit from paceperformance for my 2.2 eco and was going to have the gm techs at my local dealership install it. So i drop my car off leave it for a week while im onvacation and come back to find out that to my displeasure they dont have it finished. The guy at the desk said they put it on started it and it didnt sound right. He said that my supercharger needed new bearings and seeing as how it wasnt a serviceable part he was working on getting me another one. My mother goes up their the next day to check on it and the guy tells her a bunch of @!#$ about how four cynlinders arent made for superchargers and its going to blow also the fact that they all had bets on the fact that i was going to blow my motor within a week. Then the tech that worked on my car was telling her that my best bet would have been to buy a cobalt ss Quote " cause it will hang with the new corvettes" So personally im seriously starting to question the knowledge and ability of my local techs. He also asked me if i bought the kit used and it was sealed andin bubble wrap ? How the hell does he figure but anyways i figured i woudl share my expierence with you other boosted four cylinders that are going to blow up
Hearing stuff like this from other people about when they try and have the GM dealer install the GM performance parts sc on a jbody is not uncommon. Your best bet is to ask to speak to the tech who actually worked on it. Often times some info is lost between what the tech tells the service writer and what the service writer tells you.
Actually your best bet would be to install it yourself.
By the way don't send you mom in. That is asking for trouble. I am surprised they did not have her 100% convinced you were going to blow it up and kill yourself and 50 other people street racing.
So is this car still sitting there at the dealer or what?

you sent your mom....lol. anyways
the minute they told you about the bearings ( dont know how they came to that conclusion since they obvioiusly have no clue) you shouldve went straight to the manager. I learned a long time ago that if you ever have a problem w/ a company, you dont ever get anything accomplished by talking to the first person. always go above their head starting w/ a supervisor.
In your case where they actually made fun of you and dont believe in a product MADE for your car by the cars manufacturer, I would go straight to the top. I would also make them give you a loaner car until they fixed the problem.
and this is one of the many reasons I left the dealership.

LOL they said that because they are a bunch of asses who don't know how to install @!#$ most likely and just fed you bs to avoid the job. They are a bunch of hack jobs, and most of them had to go to tech school to learn how to do an oil change. Just find a local jboer and pay him in beer and pizza in exchange for the install.
FTW!
where the fack are you even at dude..

I only installed one GMPP S/C on a car while I worked at the dealerships (my first car doesnt count as I did that on "lunch') and it was on a Vibe. I laughed after i test drove the car.
