looks good except for your downpipe.
I don't know why you decided to use such a small diameter for your downpipe.
Adler has shown us that it is possible to run a 3" DP from the turbo, and a lot of guys (myself included) are using 2.5".
I like the rest of the setup though, its sharp, I just think that you should want to get rid of that excess exhaust as fast as possible, and having it taper down to something even smaller is going to cause a lot of heat issues and will rob you of power.
just my .02, but that header is sweet.
Does your hood close?
I liked the old piping more (before you cut the radiator support), but I love how short it is.

That looks like one of the old Cavalier Connection headers. If it is, I had one on my 2200, but we made it work with a 3 inch downpipe.

-1996 2.4 liter + Turbo + Built motor + Torco + More boost = Lots o' Power
-2000 Mustang GT + 2004 Cobra motor, Whipple 2.3 supercharger,
built rear-end,Dodge Viper spec T56 6 speed, bolt-ons = wheelies at the track!!!!!
That looks familiar....
I routed my intercooler piping alot differently, and kept the full rad support in tact.
Glad to see everything lined up good on the wastegate. The J-tuners/cav connection downpipe is on the weak side, I have plans to upgrade mine down the road. But it will have to wait for some funds recovery. It is looking good, a nice start. I would play with the clocking of the turbo....possibly un-cut the rad support if possible. but a nice start.
Oh, and my hood does close fine.
Looks like you are making progress... Now get it running!

Because i caught a super good deal for the cavalier connection setup. I have wanted that setup for years now and i finally got. it thanks John. Yes it well be upgraded in the future. MY goal right now is to get everything cleaned up and turn key in about 3 weeks or less. I had a custom made radiator which i will get back this week friday and then i can finish up alot more. I only work on the car on the weekends because my work week sucks.

Yes the hood will close. the charge pipe looks like it is sticking up super high but its not to bad. As far as the Radiator support i actually had to cut it for my log style manifold. Trust me i was not happy to do it but at the time i didn't have the bad ass manifold i have now and i was kinda stuck with making rash choices. In this project i have been screwed over by 3 different shops that promised me the world and a tubular manifold and nothing ever came of it other than me loosing money and parts. Once again Thanks john i really appreciate you stock piling parts and helping me move away from the log of crap manifold.
For any one who has been thinking" hey i want to buy that ebay log manifold for my 2200" DONT!!!!!!! They suck to much of a freaking head ache. But even after my rant if you still want one contact me i got one!
So hopefully by the end of next month the car will be tuned with a stand alone, and back at the body shop and then you guys can see my next crazy idea as far as body work. I promise it wont be a dissapointment unless your hell bent on stock looks.
I'm not sure what is wrong with your log manifold off Ebay, but mine is in good condition and has never given me grief yet.
It might have to do with the fact that I'm local to the guy who sells him, but it was my understanding that the mani's he made were actually 'OK'.
it sucks you got screwed around on your project. I lost out on about $150 when jtuners/USPS lost my headbolts (and thats it). No biggie compared to your loss, however.
I'm sure you have plans of upgrading the downpipe, and forgive my ignorance but I didn't know it was a jtuners downpipe. I'm somewhat glad I made my own setup now after seeing that. I thought you had fabbed it up, and thats why I questioned the diameter.
Regardless, nice setup!
The dis likes i have for the ebay logger is just having to move so much stuff. fill tube, coolant bar, cutting the altanator bracket.....

Cast or welded? How much are you looking for?
fortune cookie say: better a delay than a disaster
Cast. $75 shipped. I also have a ebay BOV looks like a Greddy Type r to get rid of and a A'PEXI Dual chamber BOV to LOL
I found my 650's hard to idle....I think I might just need to spend more time tuning the idle rather then WOT
I think it all looks really good, I hope the wiring can be cleaned up a bit.
nice work

Yeah trust me i have a full black wire loom kit coming and honestly the electrical is going to be where i spend 90% of my next few days of free time. Thanks though man
Wiring is all too often the place where people mess up a good build and get lazy. Do it right and you've got a nice looking engine bay shaping up. Nice radiator, btw!

Yeah i have even considered taking the car to this place here in clearwater that actually does automotive electrical harnesses and what not and just let them professionally re-wire the whole car. And when i mean whole car i mean the WHOLE car. Removing any A/C or Airbag electrical that may still be there.
Thanks i love the Ebay special i got on the radiator. The thing was custom made for a shop that builds Sand cars. When i did a search it just happened to be the dimensions i needed with running the intercooler piping in the engine bay instead of the wheel wells like most people do. Hell for a $150 shipped plus and extra $35 to add the nipples on to retain stock radiator hoses i did pretty well if i do say so myself.
jeez I need a good hookup like that too, a smaller rad would definitely not be a bad thing.
(mind you I'm not having heating issues yet)
I hope you plan to get dyno sheets this year

Well length and height wise it is "smaller" but @!#$ it went from being what a half inch width to now like 3.5" wide. The thing is a beast. As far as the dyno goes. Man all i am going to say is, it has been almost 10 years coming in the works from stock to where she sits today. Them Dyno sheets just ain't coming quick enough. I am just taking it very slow right now. this way i never have to do it again to the same car.

I'll probably take you up on that. Let me see where my credit card sits after the two RD Fabs manis...
