Will work just fine with HPT.

it has a 0-4 volt out, you can program ths inputs on the HPT

HP Tuners | Garrett T3/T04B | 2.5" Charge Pipes | 2.5" Downpipe | 650 Injectors | HO Manifold | Addco front/rear | Motor Mounts | HKS SSQV | Spec stage 3 | AEM UEGO Wideband | Team Green LSD | FMIC | 2.3 cams | 2.3 oil pump swap | 280WHP | Now ECOTECED

Sorry for the bad news but I just got done doing R&D with Autometer and this wideband kit. Here the short version;

Wrench Monkey and I got it set up to work with my HPT without a problem and install was easy.

After a couple days the gauge locked up in an error code. Sent it to Autometer tech/cal dept and got a whole new unit/sensor in the box.

Installed the new gauge and a couple days later same problem, locked up in an error code.

According to Autometer, lots of other car owners are having the same problem. So Autometer asked to use my car as a test bed to find out what the problem was since the tests in the lab didn't produce the same problem.

After sending gauges back and forth they found the wiring harness picks up induction somewhere and the gauge goes into the error lock.

Autometer plans on redesigning the wideband kit but says it is at the bottom of a long to do list. They gave me a full refund for my gauge without a problem.

I have had no problem and really like my other Autometer gauges, like you I wanted a match but had to go with another wideband kit from Karo at Car Customs.

Good luck with whatever you decided to do,

Don

I like the AutoMeter Sport Compact gauges, just can't tune with a faulty wideband. Here's the one I had,

I think you can get innovate sensors cheaper, and at a parts store....thats the innovate advantage...other than that, they seem pretty equalled.

If you have the autometer, here is how HPT gets setup for it:

Thats what I found on it, and there seem to be lots of people running it W/O problems....

Just another option for you.

Can you please elaborate on why you say that? I was just about to buy an AEM Uego for my car. Is it purely because of the 02 sensor they use?

the bosch sensors are pretty cheap to replace, I just bought one for 60 bucks. And it was never the "most" accurate, it was out about .2-.3 according to the dyno.

Please correct me if I am wrong but the NGK sensor is better than the bosh? Can it be used with the uego?

^^^ yes, the NGK sensor seems to be a more acurate sensor, that you can mount closer to the turbo from what I have heard.

The Uego sensors are ONLY available through AEM, or a distributor for them....you can not get a sensor off a shelf for the Uego's. I heard that some Caddy's run it, but it does not have the resistor chip that the AEM unit requires....

I have used the 2004 - 2008 Caddy sensor PN 12575657 with the Innovate... Its just a Bosch Heated Lambda sensor with a nice 6 pin Thomas & Betts connector (rectangular connector). PN 12596327 will also work and has an oval connector. Both parts are Bosch LSU4.

I just walked into "mopac" a local parts store and they had them in stock.. Twin charged Josh works there too.
