I am looking at stripping the turbo parts off a saab 9-3 and putting them on my 03 2.2 ECO.
Anyone have finished pics of this?
Any help with issues I may run in to?
Everything is pretty much bolt on and drive?
I will be using a stock DSM intercooler. I have an auto tranny.
the prolem is the transmission........you cant clock the turbo......so it wont physically fit....if you do there is no way to get a charge pipe on it.
i have the setup on my car........pics in profile, on cardomain...pages 8-10

Both the Intake Manifold and the Exhaust Manifold are direct bolt-ons.
The fuel injectors are a direct swap on 03-05 Ecotec J-bodies. 2002 Ecotec needs clips for the fuel rail.
Mitsubishi TD04L-14T is the "High Pressure" turbocharger found on the Saab 03-05 B207R engine, you want this turbo.
MAKE SURE TO GET THE OIL RETURN LINE WITH THE TURBO!!!
Charge pipes have to be laid out from scratch..
The major pain is the downpipe... Has to be fabricated from scratch. May as well do your exhaust at the same time, 2.5" all the way.
You will have to buy an air-to-air intercooler for best results.
HPTuners is an investment you should make right away.

i love how my opinion is thrown out when me and brandoson where the first to do this mod.
we have test fit the turbo on an automatic....and there is literally 1-1.5 inch of clearence. so getting a charge pipe on is gonna play a major role.

Where can I get these clips? Anyone have a part number?
go on the ss forums and pick up a set of their stockers. They are 100% swappable into the 02 fuel rail without any modifications
I did a test fit of this on my current auto ecotec and found that adding a spacer/flange between the manifold and head that pushes everything out about 1/2" solves alot of issues! I was able to clear everything like the heater core lines and could get an elbow to fit the end of the turbo. Now i never got around to running the actual charge pipe off that elbow it would have fit with a little work.
But as I said i never finished the setup so i can not honestly say that it would of worked out.

need to know?
Run the lsj injectors I believe they are the same. If you are using hpt it doesn't matter.
