Super 70 anybody?

I know this guy Chris in Phoenix AZ that mainly does turbo systems for chrysler 2.2 engines. We use one of his Super 70 turbos on my brothers 1986 Dodge Daytona 2.2. It spools up right around 2500 and 11 PSI comes in strong at 3200 RPM. This is an inexpensive turbo that has lasted us a long time. It is capable of flowing 375HP and the one he calls a tranny buster flows 450HP. Im going to ask him to do a prototype system on an 03 sunfire, and I hope it works out well. Seeming our engines are a 2.2 as well (ecotec), it should spool decent and also has 8 more valves than the chrysler 2.2 engine. Im hoping the R&D pays off in the end. I will post pics up in about a week of the turbo.

sweet. Sounds like it could be a killer kit. keep us posted. I'm kinda interested.

horsepower is the force that determines at what speed you hit the wall, torque is the force that determines how far you take the wall with you after you hit it.

Back when I was into the turbo daytonas. I remember hearing about super 60 parts but not sure what super 70 is. If you are reffering to a turbo can you provide specs on it?

IM working on getting the spec sheet, i lost mine a few weeks ago. Im going to call chris and get new ones, and also a template for the custom down pipe. I'm looking for a fabricator who will help me build the turbo manifold. The best part is that you can find these turbos in almost any turbo 2.2 dodge or chrysler in a junk yard, and the rebuild fee is pretty cheap! If i can get a decent price on a header then the kit will come together easily. It is internally gated, but I have a friend who has one that is pushing 15 PSI of boost and 375 WHP with the upgraded tranny buster turbo and no boost spike.

Looks more like it is an upgrade for the 2.2 rather than a stock part.

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.

It is just a modified chrysler turbo, but it also works very well. I want a sleeper, not something that is going to make a ton of noise and just be a fun car to drive. If anybody is in AZ that knows a good custom fabricator let me know, im really wanting to get this on the road.
