I understand that GM kills the spark maps for these engines.... and there is ALOT of power to be had if you tune more acurately for your fuel, and take out all the "safety margin" GM puts in.

I was just curious, like can you go even further than the "high octane maps"?

Is there somewhere i could find the MBT tables for this engine? (and would it be the same with and without a SC?)

I would love to add timing, but not entirely sure what these will take, and would rather not go off shooting blindly.

How much timing can safely be added to these engines?

every motor is different and with logging and having a wideband you will be able to monitor and tune your car corresponding to what the data yields.

timing can be advanced so much until you see signs of knock or detonation, fuel would also possibly help you out, ie instead of running 91 run something higher if at all possible

The only true way to know if you are making power is if it is on a dyno.....

P&P Tuning
420.5whp / 359.8wtq

I run 93 at all times.... only exception is one time i ran out of gas and a dude had some 87 in a can... it was use it or walk 5 miles... so i used it.

What exactly am i looking for in REAL KNOCK... i get Knock retard even when i should have any at all... and scanned 2 of my buddys Z24's as welll and they show KR in the same places... so i dont think this is real knock.

how can i tell real knock from fake knock?

just have to play around the tables in the relative areas that you are seeing this knock to see if you can minimize it
