finishing my z24 with boost

hey jbodiers ... im just finishing my project with boost .. on my z24 but i have a few questions regarding how to control my fuel ...

im getting 450cc injectors with a walbro fuel pump .. we are fine there right ? well ... my question is how to control the amount of fuel .. i dont have lot of money ... so i will like to purchase somthing that can afford but that really works .. ive read that you guys use piggy backs, greddy controlers and the famous SAFC with an FMU

which one of these 3 you guys use the most ... ?
whats the deal with the map sensor ? i read that there is a harness to put get a map that reads boost .. or could i just use my stock one with any of these 3 applications ... ?

Thanks,

You're going to want to have it tuned professionally.

All of the threads where people claimed the SAFC worked on their cars are either from before HPTuners came out or from uninformed posters that simply don't have a clue. We all now know for sure that the PCM controls fuel via the TPS and not the map sensor unless you have a 00-02 z24 PCM with the GM supercharger reflash or a 97 pcm. If you have one of those, then an SAFC should work fine. Otherwise, it is just a fancy waste of money. A standalone, tuning software for the stock pcm (HPTuners) or an FMU are your only choices to tune a 98+ PCM.

and afc will be fine, u want to hook the wires closer to the ecu. ( check ur libary ) have it dynoes. but u should adjust it for a lil bit more gas before u bring it in. As for the map sensor. i dont know if the sensor will wigg out and give u fuel cut if i does, u will have to get a boost nanny an have some one adjust your fuel map over one bar. if u have any more questions come find me
