How to detect intake manifold leak w/ Eaton supercharger

Hey guys I just pulled my supercharger to change my alternator. I have the GM kit. Well I put everything back together and it just doesn't feel like it had the power it did before I took it apart. Still boosting 4.5 psi. Just wondering if it didnt seal well at the manifold. How can I tell?

I would think you could just take some TB cleaner and spray it where the supercharger and the intake manifold meet. If the car spikes, i would say you have a leak.

I'm not sure if this is the best way to check and if others will say something different, but that should do it.

if you spike boost that means theres a leak? I spiked to 9psi the other night when it was cold out with the meth kit, i usually boost at 7psi at redline.

No, BOOSTED just didn't read anything at all... he just likes to brag about his 9 PSI.

Yes, spraying TB cleaner or the like around seals while the engine is idling and seeing if the engine's RPM surge when sprayed a leak exists is one way to check for a vacuum leak.

Sure, but I wont be in my car haha.

Anyways, to the topic starter, you could try some carb cleaner around the intake ports to check there and recheck all your vacume lines. Are you seeing a difference in vacume on your boost gauge?
