Ok, im wanting to install a Hahn stage 1 kit by the end of this year. But a bunch of you guys are saying to just go with the stage 2. What would be the better way to go???

The only problem is that it's a $3,500 kit. That's about half the cost of my car. I was thinking buy the stage 1 and then later get the upgrade kit when i have enough saved up. Is the stage 1 just not that great?

just spend the extra money to get something thats already good. not to mention the fact that by the time you get everything to "upgrade" to stage 2 it will probably cost you more than just buying it out right.

and its also that pricey for a reason... its just that good... you pay good money for good products...

uhh the upgrade difference in cost is well worth the stage 2. all new intercooler piping, intercooler, fuel injectors and fuel pump.

do it right the 1st time

?!?!? If I buy this... It will be like I just bought two Cavaliers... yeah... it's more than the cavalier I bought. I don't get this price crap. whats wrong with thishttp://search.ebay.com/cavalier-turbo-kit_W0QQfromZR40QQpqryZcavlaierQ20turboQ20kit ?? no nice injectors, fuel pump etc.

I've been looking all over for kits, and the price ..just is not worth it for me and my car. my goal.. (Since I'm so pissed off right now at y a turbo kit costs $500 more than my car) Is to fabricate the cheapest turbo set up with some good power gains on a 2.2l ohv. ill make another post later. maybe I'm just @!#$ myself. But pissed off people get stuff done.

FUK ebay items right!? no... my short shifter works just as good as the B&M and my cold air intake for 70$ works just as good as the 300+ AEM.. so wtf...

I dont know WTF you just said to be honest because your grammar, and linking abilities, suck.

I think you are asking what is wrong with that Ebay turbo kit...is that correct? Well whats wrong with it is in the description of it. A turbo kit that fits a Cavalier is not going to fit an Accord or any other car. Each car has different routing of pipes, hoses, exhaust, manifold positions, etc. Either piece together a kit with the right parts or buy a HRC kit.

If you wanna know how good the HRC kit is, look at my times. I think I have the fastest times ever on a straight Stage 2 HRC kit. With just added boost I was able to touch mid 12s, something that many people only dream of doing.

The only reason I'm moving away from the HRC kit in some parts is I want something just a hair different now than what they have, but I'm at the point where that's required to further my car's times any. I've reached the limits of my stage 2 kit, now its time to upgrade. That means PortFueler and HP Tuners, bigger intercooler (by choice not need), and a few other goodies.

For 99% of people on this site the HRC kit is a god send. Most people who own J's don't have the time and resources to invest in designing, building, tuning, and de-bugging a home-made turbo kit. I certainly didn't when I started out. That's why I bought my stage 2 kit. I have more time and resources now, so I can move off of it some. Some people are happy with the low-mid 13s you'll get from this kit. I'm not so I go on.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.

Definitely go with the stage 2 kit, or buy my HRC Stage 5 kit. 284whp/262Tq @10.5 psi , 13.5@105 on a otherwise stock motor.
