ok, this is kinda in the wrong forum, but it involves a s/c so here you go. My goal is to get my 01 z24 up to 250 hp. These are the mods i'm planning on doing: gm s/c, pacesetter ceramic header, high flow cat, secret cam swap. I guessed that to be close to my goal, but what do you guys think? I'm debating on whether i should get a .02 overbore with weisco pistons and eagle connecting rods, i dunno if that would be worth the money, time, and effort. any opinions on those mods?

smaller pulley, meth injection, no prob.

You can hit 250bhp but not 250whp.

yea, i've been tryin to learn more about meth injection. it doesn't seem like a hard install, also, i wanted to get a port and polish done, but skip the overbore so i can still go with the gm tune. But while i'm getting that done, would it be wise to upgrade the internals with the forged pistons and connecting rods? the car will have about 110,000 miles on it

250 is prolly max with evrything. On a 2.4 having your ECU tuned will yeild the most power of almost anything you will do. If you want 250 at the wheels I would just go turbo. But with all that said I plan on showing everyone exactly what the m45 can do. I was going to hit the dyno this weekend but I discovered I am running a lil lean about 13.5 AFR at 7000 rpm. I dynoed once before at 214whp with ONLY engine mounts, 56mm tb CAI, and the HPtuners mail order tune from Shifted on the stock 2.8" pulley. I have done so much more since then. Check my registry for listed mods. I just need to get tuned for some 440cc injectors (310cc come with the kit) and then I am going to hit the dyno. All with a stock exhaust at that time. In fact right now I still have the stock muffler. Anyway I hate talking I want to dyno!
I have meth injection with the devils own progressive controller. It is set to come on at 2psi but I am only making 3psi. LOL I garantee it is the fastest car you have ever rode in with only 3 psi. I can't wait to hit the track but it is 2+ hours away. On the same day as the 214 dyno I ran a 14.5 n1 /4 with no weight reduction and street tires. I hope this post is readable as I have been drinking.
Don't waste your time on the overbore. On a 4cyl the displacement increase is very minimal. I am currently runnning a .040 overbore but not for performance reasons. I would not go any more than needed for a true cyl so you can bore bigger if something goes horribly wrong and score your cyl. .040 is all on these engines so I am looking for a new block if something goes wrong with mine.
Forged pistons are a must. They might save your engine if you are running slightly lean. Rods are a godd idea bu the y can hold up to 250whp if everything else is good meaning no detonation.
The gm tune sucks find someone with hpt to flash your ECU

I see a lot of people using a 62mm tb with the gm s/c, is this a mod worth doing and does the s/c need to be overbored to do it?

I am pretty sure it is right.I have had three different boost gauges and they all ran the same. I had a laptop with hpt on on the way back from the wisconsin dells but hpt displayed kpa and I did not at the time know how to change it to read in psi or what the conversion was. I will have the hpt back in here sometime soon so I can verify my exact boost as read by the map sensor/ECU/hpt

maybe a vac leak to the guage? lol. I wouldnt think that 214whp is possible with only 3psi. But what do I know. Im a turbo'd cavy. I dont deal with superchargers.
