Your tuner might be able to find one on HPT website under the repository.
i dont know if i would always trust the repository but also why not just have the guy custom tune it? the people who tune cars spend a lot of time doing so and i wouldnt be surprised if you have to buy it off someone on this site...
Honestly, I don't know what his problem is, but I feel that he either can't or won't put me up to full potential
He's the only tuner in Rochester, NY with HPT and a dyno that i'm aware of. He only does the v8's and he's done his cobalt. I'm the first (and only that i'm aware of) 2.4l (ga or cavi prolly) that he's dealt with before. My last tune (with all the same stuff, except the cam swap & head milling which I forgot to mention) only got me 184 wheel. That alone doesn't make sense since the base dyno for my car was 138whp so I didn't even gain the 50/50 that gm claims, let alone all the other mods i've done in addition to the charger, but since he's the only place I know of, that's the only place I can go so I was hoping to get a file that someone has that has closer to 220whp which I what i'm kinda looking for. There's been posts of other cavi's making that or close to it just by adding the charger. Obviously if no one has a file by Friday, he'll be doing a car specific tune anyway, but I was just looking to make his life a lil easier ya kno?

GM's 50/50 claim isn't WHP...
14.330 @ 96.37mph
I would not trust that a tune from someone elses car....even with the same equipment, would be "drop and go". It will still need tweeked for YOUR car.
You can probably find someone with a good BASE tune for you, but in the end....it needs to be made to suite YOUR car, and YOUR driving.

Why would you use methonal and not tune for it?

Because I blew up the car last time by running out of methanol. I do not have a "low" sensor, and I was going to get one hooked up, but if I run out again I want to still be able to drive the car from where ever I may be. By not tuning with the methanol, I can still use it to cool the air, and worst case senario is that I run rich which i'd prefer over running lean and blowing up the motor again
As for the other comments- You guys are right, I really should just get the tune done on my car and not look for someone else's to load. You guys have shown me enough reason to be concerned with what I was thinking would be easy

When my friend put the snow meth kit on his TT GTO he lost about 40whp, when he tuned for it he gained 10-15whp over what he had without it. Not tuning for it is ridiculous.
Exactly where are you going in Rochester? New Era in Rochester is tuning my turbo 2.4 here shortly and I've been working with Mike for awhile now. We are shooting for somewhere in the 450whp range.
I've personally got tunes set up exactly for your setup but as mentioned earlier I can't just give them away... I've got alot of time and work into the tunes and just can't give them away for free. If you're interested shoot me a PM.

it's Mike at New Era
At this point in time I gotta find out my coolant leak and then Mike and I agreed that I would show up to show him the car is running again, have cash in hand and he'll schedule me in. I didn't know they would be costing money, so (no offense) but i'll pass on it. The kid I talked to the other day said the same thing as people noted above about Mike wanting to tune on his own and not load a preset anyway, but thank you for the offer!

No offense taken at all man, keep us updated after the tuning. Mike really knows his stuff so I'm sure he will tune the car to the best of his ability. What kind of coolant leak are you experiencing right now? I've got a seaping issue on my damn water pump when the car is off... Both water pumps ive had on the car have done this...
