heat exchanger should be shipped tomorrow, ive been thinking of how the plumbing is going to go.. im sort of confused.
so i got a cobalt reservoir, it has 1 3/4" nipple on the bottom, then a smaller nipple on the top. this is how i think it needs to be run.. from the 3/4" nipple on the reservoir to the pump, from the pump to the H/E inlet, from the H/E outlet to the manifold inlet, the manifold outlet back to the reservoir... where im getting confused is the manifold outlet is bigger than the reservoir "inlet" (the little nipple on the top).
any suggestions? do i have the wrong cobalt reservoir? not sure if there is a difference btwn the trim levels..
thanks

if you want some time, we can do it at work, or over at Brian's.
do you have a heat exchanger, and pump yet?
if you want, you can have the unit i was going to use for my Z.

that would be awesome
heat exchanger should have been shipped today, i have the pump, reservoir and most of the plumbing. im inquiring about where s1lver used the 4 barbed elbows and 2 couplers in his setup over on ecotecforum, but other than that it should be ready to go once i get the exchanger. just need some 90deg elbows for the H/E inlet and outlets; seeing if i can use plastic instead of brass. (not sure why not but the how to over on cobaltss has brass ones..)
hmm OE bumper you say? does it have the ls sport lip on it? if not how much more?

i used the barbed 90's in the front at the heat exchanger from where the hoses are in the engine bay and turned to meet the heat exchanger under the front bumper support. didn't want to have any kinks in the hose. i'd get rubber 3/4" 90's for off the manifold. you can cut them to size. i would only the cut the side that goes onto the manifold. they will need to be shortened to fit between the manifold and bracket coverin the fan. used couplers off of those to connect to the hose to route to the pump and reservoir respectively.

I'm pretty sure if the cobra h/e can cool a supercharged v8.....that and the cobra h/e are more than efficient enough..
So how do those hoses run exactly? I have the Cobra H/E will order the pump and reservoir soon. Not really sure how it all gets put together.
