Anyone need the Ecotec Supercharger TB adapter?
Tuesday, June 17, 2008 5:44 AM
I am thinking about making up a few of these considering I have a lathe. I am not sure who would need them but if anyone is interested let me know and ill get started on the first one and post some pics. This is the only way of getting one that I know of. Unless you spend the 2500 on the kit. Let me know if you need one. Thanks!

yes i sorta need one. if you made one w/ the evap line along w/ a tapped hole for future meth injection, that would be sweet.

Im going to get a jump on it real soon. I was working on a template last night for it. I have alot of work to do. There really is no way of making it exactly as the GM part. I can get it close, but unless you have a CNC machine, which i dont, you wont get it exactly like that. Which means there wont be a groove for the throttle body O-ring. Sometime of Gasket material will have to be used. I found some Red Loc-tite 518 which is a gasket based material.

that's fine. had to use gasket maker on the one i'm usin. make sure the hole is as big as a 62mm throttle body tho.

Are you sure that the throttle body butterfly is 62mm? I havent taken mine off but if you say it is 62mm then I will cut the center hole to that.

uummm. YES. SMG bores them and puts in new butterflies. plus if your s/c is ported from Stiegemeier or other versions of porting, it will help to be bigger on the tb adapter.

I made the center hole last night. It is 66.5mm. As far as I know, my blower isnt ported but this morning I measured the opening or my blower and it was 71.5mm across. So i have to take my throttle body off and measure it just to be sure. if that is the case, I could open up the opening a little more.

you then the adapter hole is too big and the tb will not cover that hole.
