Ready to boost
Monday, June 30, 2008 7:28 PM
Hello everyone, Im new to the boost forum and am plannin on buying a hahn stage II kit very soon. My budget is around 6K and I have some newb ?'s to ask. Can anyone recomend:

1. Where can I buy the kit at a good price
2. Go with stage 2 or stage 3 clutch
3. Stock or lightened flywheel
4. Fuel stuff
5.... Anything else I should have

This will still be my daily driver and jus wanted to know what are some of the important things about goin from N/A to boost. I've been checkin this forum out for a while and have been reading the boost FAQ's almost a week I can't wait. Anyone who can share their knowledge is awsome

1.i believe id go thru hahn itesef..
2. get a stage 3+
3. stay with your stock flywheel just get it resurfaced, and inspect for stressing on the mating surface
4. if you get the port fueler you get that problem fixed.
5. get a wideband, always saves a life. prolly an oil press gauge, and hptuners is always a good decision. if its your dd and you get snow in your area, invest in some winter wheel/tire combo

Thanx alot Matt, I appreciate ur input. My plan was 2 buy the kit, get a new cluth and maybe a LSD installed, then get it all tuned. Their kit doesn't come with the gauges or software? I guess I can call them in the mornin and get more details.

have money set aside for when something blows. Or in my case an extra car. Although I was pushing much higher numbers then the hahn kit when my engine went

Exactly what Tim said. Spend a few G's of that cash on a beater to drive.... You'll need it.
