I just installed the M62 on my ecotec and got it reflashed. When I took it in it was idleing high, around 1500 rpms. After they flashed it the engine idles around 2500. How can I fix this?
Think I got it, but if anyone else has any ideas please let me know.
We had a tough time getting the belt on the pullies and ended up using the prybar method. Well I read on another forum to check for leaks and loose bolts. The bolts on the supercharger that go into the intake manifold were about a quarter turn loose. Probably from the pressure from the prybar the other day. Well I just checked it and it idled around 750. So does anyone have a better way to move the hydraulic tensioner for future reference?

I was going to say it sounds like a vaccum leak. I would check alle the bolts on the front of the motor.

Grrrr.... just got back from a short drive. The car is idleing fine now and engines seems ok, but now the trans is shifting really hard. Like jolting. Also the check engine light is now on and it wasn't when I brought it home from GM a couple hours ago.
Any ideas?
MAP problem. Computer sees high reading for MAP and cranks the trans line pressures to full, resulting in super hard shifts.

Thanks Evilmonkitar, I should have used that instead of the prybar. Well I took the cav into GM today and asked them to check what code was being thrown and it was the MAP and IAT sensors, so TMAP. They cleared it and now it is running just fine. I even got a great squeel off of a stop light, it was fun.
The funny part was the guy at the counter wanted to charge me 45$ just to check what code it was and the guy that actually does the work looked at him and said "Why charge him it will only take a minute".
Well, thank you everyone that helped me with this install and trouble shooting. If I have anymore problems I will be sure to ask you guys.
