Does the MSD 6212 box retard timing overall (say 3 degrees for the entire rpm range)
, or can it retard timing based on boost pressure(say 2 degrees at 5 psi and 6 degrees at 10 psi)?

Boost Timing Curve: For turbo or superchargered applications an optional MAP sensor can be installed so you can control the ignition timing in relation to boost pressure. The timing can be programmed from 0° - 25° in conjunction to for boost pressure ranging from 0 - 45 psi in 0.50 psi increments.

Both are possible if you want, as is much more.
sig not found
it does run timing, boost related, and launch related.
it can do either or both. depends on how you program it.
THATS THE DOES ALL DIS 2 BOX. I KNOW WHERE TO GET IT FOR PRETTY CHEAP TOO
you could really make it do whatever you wanted.
you set nodes on a line. the farther the line goes down, the more retarded the ignition will be.
maximum retard is 25degrees. you could make it go in a jagged edge if you wanted up to 15,000rpm
the run curve does it merely on RPM as does the launch curve.
the boost curve does retard based on boost up to 45psi
if you have multiple retards going, they add together.
it pretty much lets you do whatever you want.
