You could use the Harrop with the Gm kit, its designed to bolt on to the same intake manifold , the intake manifold on the cobalt ss or gm supercharger kit for the L61 is exactly the same
Here is the major thing the Harrop ships with a 80MM pulley, that is wayyyyyyyy too much boost for a stock motor. Even with the biggest pulley which is 90mm or 3.5 inch thats 16psi on a LSJ, on a L61 prob 13-14psi, still wayy too much boost for a stock motor. Do not consider the harrop unless you have a built L61, otherwise you will damage the motor. 60lb injectors are the minimum for this blower. Do not try to run it with anything smaller.
The only way this could be run with a L61 is either with a piggy back or a stand alone, the GM flash nor HPT will deliver the amount of fuel needed.

rhodius i remember you said this in a thread, so i was wondering how you tuned your cobalt for the harrop? why wouldnt HPT be able to work?

I'm pretty sure he was comparing psi from blower to blower in his own way, lol.
I got what he meant.

... kinda like, 13 #'s from the M62= high 13's or 7# from a M45= high 13's?
Bret, call me some time today....i will "enlighten" you.

That’s kind of like saying it wasn’t Eaton that made the OE charger, it was Magnusson......
Same @!#$.
Engineered by Eaton, Designed by Eaton....Guess who made it?
Or my dealership is who makes your car, not Chevy.

Airtonics wrote:HP tuners would work just fine for some but the reflash you could be right. My car has no idea what boost is yet it's easy to tune. S/C gives you a certain amount of air at a certain rpm, it doesn't change based on load like a turbo. You just tune it like it's a larger displacement engine.
Your computer lsj doesn't like it because it can sense that extra air coming in and says HEY THAT"S NOT RIGHT, so it seems.
Let me borrow that blower for a couple weeks rodiums I should have my car running again hopefully very soon. I'd be happy to max both the m62 out and the Harrop and we'll see what each traps.

I would love to see this.
