Do they still make this?
Sunday, September 07, 2008 12:21 PM

I remember seeing this turbo manifold some years back and kept a picture of it for future reference.
Well, the future reference is here and doing some research on this, can't find anyone that makes a equal length turbo manifold.
I see everyone making the log style manifold for the LD9 but I'm wanting to one better the manifold with the above if possible.

So if anyone has some information on this, it would be helpful.
If not, I'll continue my research and be relegated with a log manifold for my build.
Thanks

So this turbo header manifold is no longer available then?
Hmmmm.
I guess I'll just have to stick with the log manifold then.
Besides doing my own research on this (which I will), any suggestions on which is a good one and recommended?
Thanks all.

PM Atomic and ask him. Last i heard he was still willing to make one for anyone who put up the $$$.

That looks more like a old speedcraft one then your old one Jason.. ...not that we ever compared the two side by side at Brian's house or anything

That manifold IS from Atom Phillips and yes he does still make them....end of story. PM him if you want one, I've got one comming but he's changing shops right now again and isn't able to make them right now but he still has all the equip. to manufacture them for whoever wants one. I would love it if we could convince him to do a GP and maybe get 5 people in on it and save some cash but hes still the cheapest EL around really.

Thank you all.
I'll get in contact with him and would pay to have something that would have more benefit than the standard issue log style manifold.
Oh and Josh, yes, I've changed my mind about the build.
I've been reading/ studying Corky Bells 'Maximum Boost' so that I have a good idea on what I'm doing while helping my overall knowledge of what I want out of the car.
Thanks all.

I just PM'd Atomic on this and will see what he has to say.
Maybe there will be enough interest in this and a GP may become a reality.
I'll keep you all up to date on this as it comes about.

like everyone said its a atomic header, he does very good work. if he cant help you out ive built a few 2.4 headers, and can do either 16gauge or sch. 10

R.I.P. Brian Klocke, you will never be forgotten

Well if all else fails, I may get in contact with you on a turbo header.
Thanks for the feedback.

blu, good book you picked up there.....btw.

I also think vulcan was making a tubular header.....I know they did for the eco, but I think I remember seeing the 2.4 floating around too.

I dont know how ready for this you are, but something tells me you would get the vulcan one before atomic's, especially with him switching shops.

Very nice piece though.

I've got a Fetter header sitting next to me right now, its one of the nicest 2.4 turbo headers i've ever seen, even nicer than the JMTS header.

I plan on the 5 speed swap so no problems with that. I hate auto and basically destroys all that I've done to the car so far.
I've already got the 5 speed tranny mounts, ready to be welded on once I pull the motor/ tranny.

So Jeremy, are you ready to sell that Fetter header manifold?

Hey Blu yea that's one of Atomic's headers, he built my 321 stainless steel and my downpipe, he does excellent work.

Sounds good Dale.
I'll PM him again if I don't hear from him in a few days.
