m62/l61 GM reflash... Possible upgrades?
Monday, September 15, 2008 8:43 AM
Ok I have on 03 Cav with the GM supercharger kit and the GM reflash. I have read that the reflash runs rich and you can do a few mods and everything will still run fine. I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of stuff I can do to make the car faster and the reflash will still work fine. Can I go to a smaller pulley size and if so how small? Anything else anyone would recomend for a little extra acceleration?

Others have pullied down with the reflash, but I wouldn't suggest that after seeing what idc's looks like with the stock pulley.
Look into Exhaust and possibly mild cams.

How do the idcs have to do with whether you're running the reflash or hpt? Do they run you that rich?

I maxxed out the 370s on the dyno with the stock pulley....

So regardless of whether you're running hpt or the reflash, you wouldn't pulley down without getting larger injectors so you don't lean out and go boom... which you can't tune for if you're locked out of the reflash... right?

I never had my boost guage hooked up on the stock pulley set-up, however with a 3.0 pulley I am pushing 15psi on cool nights, and 12-13psi all the time, even when it is hot outside.

I have a 4-2-1 header, full 2.5" exhaust with a hi-flow cat and no resonator along wiht a 3" intake/K&N filter and a pretty larger intercooler. Also to help things out I have my B&M Shift plus for the Auto tranny. I keep it on 1 unless I want to play a little bit and then I put it on 2.

15psi... On the GM Reflash? What are you using to monitor your A/F ratio for leaning out to much?

Dayum... So from what I'm hearing... the GM reflash is not as Down Tune as everyone is saying?!?! Is there a real need to go with HP Tuner?

I don't see 15psi....cool night I can hit 14 but average about 12-13.

I still run pig rich even on cool nights...WOT too...the GM reflash (at least mine) is way, way rich all the time!

At WOT on a cool night...max of about 12:0...typically I see mid to low 11s on a normal Texas night.

Yeah... I read it before... lot of good info there... I'm running two 9" fans on the front of the Heat Exchanger... Thinking about running Moroso Cool Can that you can add ice to, on the outlet of the Heat exchanger... Might be over kill... I'll see how the small fans work first.
