i have the map sensor but what i am wondering is do it need some type of harness? because it does not plug into the stock plug.

Umm yeah otherwise how are you going to plug it in. LOL It would be the same end that the older GTP has.

you can find pigtails for the older style plugs all over the interwebz.

I think the pigtail is the same the only difference is in the map sensor

ok cool just bought it thanks alot guys. do all the wires get hooked up to the old harness? and p.s for first time starting the car i will need to keep the stock map sensor in and go into no boost correct?

yes, the old map should say near the plug +, -, an 5v out
Make sure the new map has them in the same order, and then it is a direct splice (they should be the same order)

As far as the start up thing......i guess it all depends how you are tuned.....

and yes, GM maps will plug into the same plug, whether 2-bar or 3 bar as long as it is the correct style.

they have 2 main styles, the large (what you bought), and the small (what your car had origionally)
