Question on blower cams.
Saturday, October 18, 2008 8:28 AM
Hi all. I just ran across this site and these blower cams. http://www.turbotechracing.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=2450

It's a little hard finding information on these and just wondering what the install time would be like, and if you think the dealership would have any problem putting them in?

Also i'm thinking about S/C'ing my ecotec aswell. Would the GM reflash work well with these cams? I know the stage 1 requires no tuning but is the blower cam the same?

Thanks to everyone in advance.

I have all the specs for those cams downstairs. Gimme a little bit and I'll post them. I also have a set sitting in my basement that I'll sell you cheap. They've been sitting unopened, except to get cam specs, for about 2 years now. LOL.

Thank you very much. But I don't really understand what any of that means

It means they're cams designed specifically for a supercharged engine LOL.

They should run ok on the GM S/C reflash but I don't think anyone has ever tried.

Install time...3-4 hours I'd guess if you take your time. Dont pay a dealer to do it. Get some locals, a case of your beverage of choice, and go to town. Just make sure you torque everything down and you set the timing right and you'll be fine.
