alternator won't fit in bracket

im in the process of installing the gm s/c kit on my 05 cav eco...and im at the point where the alternator goes back in, in the new bracket....and it won't fit because I'm hitting a 1" wide metal tube at the bottom of the alternator spot...Its only about a 1/4" off....if I pound on it, it will prolly go but I don't want to break that metal line.....please respond asap thank you so much my number is 402-450-7406....ill be out in my garage you can text me and then i can call you...or just respond and ill check this again in about an hour.... Thankyou soo much!!!

it should slide in easy mine did, how did u make out?

ya with a little wiggling it went in and for my intake manifold to fit I had to tempararily take our the oil dipstick shell then install the manifold then put it back in a little bent....installing the supercharger tonight!!
