2200 part loacation?
Tuesday, November 25, 2008 1:00 PM
I currently drive a 2001 sun fire with the 2200 engine. I have a Garrett gt3076R that i wish to install on the car. It is a oil and water cooled turbo with a internal waste gate set on 8psi. I am having a hard time finding after market parts to support this turbo and would like to know where I could start looking for some stuff such as forged pistons/rings ,connecting rods, and injectors. I am only looking to run it at the set 8psi so what would be the best place to start, also what would be the best injector to run with this type of boost

Your wasting your time if you are going to run a 3076 at 8 psi... Nowhere near the efficiency range. As for parts, do a search on here.. Lots of stuff will pull up..

Alright then ill defentaly look into this site. I am only using this turbo because i got a great deal on it and eventually it will push much more then 8psi, this is just what i plan to start with until i build my car a little more.

the gt3076 is a bit oversized for the engine.

Yes, but 14psi is nothing compared to what I will be running.... My engine is going through an extreme build at the moment..

Thats all good to, but I'm not looking to make a drag weapon. This is my daily driver that has to get me to and from work every day, ande every one knows that nothing happens over night and I'm just doing things as fast as i can, one piece and one part at a time, partly because thats all my part time job allows me to do.

You will be waiting for it to spool your whole ride to work.
