going with a new turbo set up

Originally i was using garret t28 which really surprised me and worked awesome

but i blew the t28

sucked

so im thinking about using the saab 9-3 turbo,

what turbo is the saab 9-3 turbo , is it ball bearing?

and what would be the upgrade for the turbo

The saab turbo is a journal bearing turbo and as far as i know it would be a smaller turbo then the t28. Time to step up to a t3/t4.

i really dont want anything to big an inexpensive

i kinda just need the cavalier for a winter driver

my daily driver is my 350z but i currently live in florida

im moving back to chicago but

my car is parked in my girlfriends garage with the engine missing a turbo

i dont want to spend to much cash

and i figured i could pick up a saab 9-3 manifold and turbo for cheap,

i would go back to t28 but that turbo was over about 900

also i heard the saab manifold doesn't really work with the 2.2 ecotec is this true, i know it fits but are there any issues with it

Go with the Saab set up. No lag at all, OEM quality and can support up to 250hp. It is a Mitsubishi TD04 turbo and there are no fitment issues other than you'll need a custom made downpipe. IMO its a great set up.

not to many upgrades...sorry i misunderstood what you wrote in your first post..

here isnt much for upgrades for the turbo. I believe you can get larger housings and bigger center sections but i cant find the link. But the upgrade isnt overly a big upgrade.

how much power can the saab's turbo handle i remember my t28 could handle 300

im only looking to have 265ish

my cavalier is pretty light

no ac, no airbags, no cruise control, truck is striped and no spair, also no front and back bumper support lol it's so safe,

but anyways basiclly since it's light with that power it should be just as fast as my 350z if not faster
